Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial reports (monthly, annual, budget, forecast, cash flow)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Manage accounts receivable, cash flow, and bank reconciliations
- Oversee purchasing, accounts payable, expense claims, and payroll processing
- Analyze hotel KPIs, forecasts, and financial data; support hotel finance operations
- Handle legal and tax matters, including audits and regulatory filings
- Maintain company licenses, insurance, and statutory documentation
- Develop and mentor finance team members
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with large-scale accounting systems (ideally Sun System)
- Familiarity with group reporting tools (ideally OneStream)
- Hands-on experience with financial tools and processes such as cash management, expense claims, and P2P systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Japanese tax regulations
- Basic understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
