About dbt Labs

At dbt Labs, we help data teams transform raw data into trusted, meaningful insights. Our mission is to empower analysts and data engineers to work more effectively by enabling best-in-class data transformation practices. With over 200,000 community members and thousands of customers, dbt is the standard for modern analytics engineering.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Marketing Director, AMER to build and lead our marketing efforts across the United States and Canada. This is a critical role supporting our AMER sales organization in driving pipeline creation and increasing brand presence in key markets.

This is a people management role leading a team of marketers from Field Marketing and ABM but interlocked with cross functional marketing teams. This person is a critical coordination role between regional marketing, sales leaders, partnerships, sales development representatives, and the marketing organization. You’ll own pipeline generation and net new annual recurring revenue as your primary KPI and be expected to travel at least 30% of your time.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the data-driven revenue marketing strategy — Leverage analytics to identify and scale programs that accelerate deal velocity and expand opportunity size, driving pipeline growth and revenue impact across regions and segments.
  • Partner closely with marketing analytics and sales leadership — Align data insights with revenue goals to pinpoint high-performing programs, set clear IC targets, and focus investment on the most impactful opportunities.
  • Advance program performance and accountability — Use data-driven insights to continuously optimize marketing investments, assign measurable team goals, and ensure every initiative contributes directly to revenue outcomes.
  • Partner with the campaigns team to mature ABM initiatives — Apply performance analytics to design targeted campaigns that engage key accounts, shorten deal cycles, and grow deal value through tailored content and outreach.
  • Analytics & Reporting — Maintain full-funnel visibility by tracking campaign, program, and pipeline results with associated costs; drive executive reporting cadence and transparent performance tracking to enable real-time decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with regional customers — Identify advocates and amplify success stories that demonstrate measurable business impact through events, campaigns, and community engagement.
  • Manage regional marketing budgets, vendors, and agency partners — Allocate spend strategically based on data insights to prioritize programs that deliver the greatest revenue efficiency and impact.

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 5 in field or regional marketing roles for high-growth SaaS or data/analytics companies.
  • Proven success partnering with sales teams to drive pipeline and revenue, ideally in a PLG and enterprise sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of the AMER market — cultural, regional, and regulatory nuances across countries and segments.
  • Proven experience in leading and expanding marketing teams focused on achieving revenue targets.
  • Track record of delivering effective demand generation programs using multi-channel approaches.
  • Experience running events and marketing programs that move deals forward.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to operate at both a high-level vision and hands-on execution.
  • Highly data-driven, comfortable using marketing metrics and KPIs to guide decisions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, remote-first, global teams.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Join a mission-driven, values-led company at the forefront of modern data transformation.
  • Be part of a globally distributed, remote-first team where autonomy and collaboration go hand in hand.
  • Help build and scale a world-class marketing function across one of our fastest-growing regions.
