Apple's Display EE Incubation Team is looking for a senior display algorithm engineer to develop future display technology for AR/MR, Mobile, Wearable, and Desktop segments. This role involves creating and implementing display system prototypes, simulation tools, AI/ML tools, data infrastructure, and automation for designing and manufacturing new display products. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills across multiple domains, excellent communication, and leadership abilities to collaborate with internal and external teams. This position offers a significant opportunity to lead the development of future displays while learning from experts in various disciplines across the hardware-software-UX spectrum.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in EE/CS, Optics/Photonics, Physics, or equivalent
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with image/signal processing techniques and algorithms
- Experience with performance modeling and simulation
- Experience shipping production code for imaging and display pipelines
- Deep understanding of system SW integration
- Software development skills with C/C++, Python
- Experience with data engineering at scale
- Familiarity with machine learning tools
Good to have:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience in using AI/ML in real-life applications

Apple's Display EE Incubation Team develops future display technology that delivers groundbreaking visual experiences to our users. The team is seeking a senior display algorithm engineer to create and implement display system prototypes, simulation, AI/ML tools, data infrastructure and automation for designing and manufacturing new display products in AR/MR, Mobile, Wearable and Desktop segments. A successful candidate will not only need to demonstrate world-class technical skills across multiple domains, but also excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with various Apple internal cross-functional teams and external partners. This role offers an incredible opportunity to lead development of future displays while collaborating and learning from world-class experts in multiple disciplines across the entire hardware-software-UX spectrum.
- Bachelor's degree in EE/CS, Optics/Photonics, Physics or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant relevant industry experience.
- Experience with image/signal processing techniques and algorithms, performance modeling and simulation.
- Experience with shipping production code for imaging and display pipelines, deep understanding of system SW integration.
- Software development skills with high-level programming languages C/C++, Python.
- Experience with data engineering at scale, familiar with machine learning tools
- Advanced degree in relevant field of study along with some industry experience
- Experience in using AI/ML approaches in real-life applications.
- Experience with display processing algorithms
- Thorough, disciplined, methodical approach, with good documentation habits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
