Fortune is seeking an experienced, commercially savvy editorial leader to grow and lead our executive community in Europe. Based in London, this role involves curating and moderating conversations with C-Suite executives, deepening Fortune’s relationships with influential business leaders, and translating insights into high-impact editorial moments. You will engage directly with global and regional CEOs and C-Suite members from Fortune 500 companies, supporting revenue growth by assisting the sales team in building relationships and positioning Fortune’s editorial authority.

Job Overview

Fortune is seeking an experienced, commercially savvy editorial leader to grow and lead our executive community in Europe.

Based in London, this role sits at the intersection of relationship-building, convening, moderation, and monetization. You’ll curate and moderate on and off-the-record conversations with CEOs and other C-Suite executives, deepen Fortune’s relationships with the region’s most influential business leaders, and help translate insights from these gatherings into smart, high-impact editorial moments.

You’ll engage directly with Global, Regional, and Country-level CEOs and members of the C-Suite from Fortune 500 companies, along with a select group of senior NGO leaders, to explore the ideas and challenges shaping the future of business in Europe.

You will support Fortune’s revenue growth by helping the sales team build relationships with C-suite executives, framing and positioning Fortune’s editorial authority during key commercial meetings, and supporting sales as they close deals.

Key Responsibilities

Community Leadership & Relationship Development

  • Build and manage a cross-sector community of European-based C-suite leaders and trusted NGO voices.
  • Develop deep relationships with community members, maintaining regular contact and engagement.
  • Represent Fortune as a trusted editor and convener in conversations with top-level stakeholders.

Convening & Editorial Strategy

  • Lead the development of off-the-record (Chatham House Rule), peer-to-peer problem-solving events.
  • Moderate discussions with poise, humility, and editorial discipline.
  • Surface themes and tensions that matter most to the community, and reflect them in bespoke editorial coverage.

Coverage & Insights

  • Work with colleagues to shape coverage tied to key issues surfaced in community gatherings.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Partner closely with editorial, live media, and sales teams in the UK, US, and Europe.
  • Ensure events and coverage are aligned with broader strategic priorities.
  • Track impact and refine engagement strategy based on feedback and results.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to recruit new sponsors and increase revenue year over year.
  • Collaborate with the membership team to launch the membership program, recruit new members, nurture current members, and increase revenue year over year.

Client Engagement Support

  • Partner with Fortune’s commercial team to support relationship-building with CEOs and C-suite executives.
  • Join select meetings to introduce Fortune’s editorial mission and frame how our journalism connects with clients’ business or brand strategies.
  • Help position Fortune’s editorial authority in ways that deepen engagement and open opportunities for the commercial team.
  • Maintain clear documentation of outreach and engagement efforts via Salesforce or similar platform to ensure alignment between editorial and commercial teams.

Your Experience & Attributes

  • 8+ years in senior editorial roles—ideally in business journalism, convening, or strategic storytelling, with emphasis on live events, television, or radio
  • Experience moderating live conversations and facilitating peer dialogue.
  • Familiarity with the priorities, pressures, and personalities of the European C-suite.
  • Ability to write and speak with clarity, brevity, and authority.
  • Strong network across business, government, or NGO communities in the region.
  • Collaborative mindset with a clear sense of purpose and editorial ethics.

Requirements

  • Availability to work from the London office 5 days a week.
  • Ability and willingness to travel more than 50% of the time across Europe.
  • Comfortable with editorial and commercial KPIs
  • Must have authorisation to work in the UK.
