Your daily life

The Toulouse Champollion site brings together activities related to satellite systems engineering, the design and production of payloads, the development and qualification of ground segments. It also integrates a research center and an industrial accelerator for start-ups and ventures, as well as activities dedicated to low-temperature science, specifically the development and production of micromechanical coolers for demanding markets.

At the Toulouse site, within the CCAIT Directorate, you will join the RF Payload AIT Discipline.

The Test Engineer is responsible for electrical (analog, digital, Radio Frequency) activities during the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) phases of Telecommunication and Scientific Payloads. These phases occur at the payload, satellite, and launch campaign levels.

YOUR MISSIONS:

The main missions will be:

  • Functionally supervise the Measurement Technician teams (1 to 4 TDM) in operation on their flight model and ensure the application of quality rules, personnel safety, and material integrity.
  • During the preparation phase, they are responsible for defining, procuring, and preparing all necessary test means for their project; they develop the specifications for AIT means and the procedures related to the RF and electrical domains.
  • They are responsible for the databases of test tools (test sequences for automatic test means).
  • They guarantee that all means, tools, electrical/RF procedures, and databases are ready for the different operational phases.
  • During the AIT Payload and Satellite operational phase, they conduct all activities related to RF and electrical tests. They validate all interventions on the Payload and continuously verify that the CU environment guarantees its integrity (coordination with other trades: mechanical, thermal).
  • They validate first-level test results.
  • They approve test reports as the domain expert.
  • They participate in the analysis and action plans following Non-Conformities.
  • They provide their expertise to operational teams on the implementation of test means.
