Frontier is seeking an experienced Email Marketing Manager to lead the creation, development, and execution of all email marketing strategies. This role is crucial for driving player engagement, retention, and monetization through compelling email campaigns and CRM initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver personalized, high-impact communications to a global gaming community, managing the end-to-end email marketing process from strategy to performance analysis.
Must have:
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns supporting product lifecycles, promotions, and customer engagement.
  • Own the end-to-end email marketing process: strategy, segmentation, copywriting, design coordination, testing, deployment, and performance analysis.
  • Manage and optimize CRM workflows to enhance player lifecycle engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Web Developers and other teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
  • Monitor campaign performance and report on KPIs including open rates, CTR, conversion, and ROI feeding into wider user journey analysis.
  • Maintain and grow email subscriber lists in compliance with GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
  • Conduct A/B testing and apply insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date with email marketing trends, tools, and best practices in the gaming industry.
  • Proven experience in email marketing, ideally within video games, entertainment, or tech sectors.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and customer segmentation strategies.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a flair for engaging, player-centric messaging.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting campaign data and generating actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and email compliance standards.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for video games and understanding of gaming communities.

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email formatting.
  • Experience in a dedicated email marketing or CRM role.
  • HubSpot certification or demonstrable experience using HubSpot for campaign management.

The modern studio is located in the vibrant technology hub of Cambridge (UK). This role is offered on a full in-studio basis or a hybrid basis (minimum 3 days per week in the studio). We can provide a comprehensive relocation support package as part of any offer, should you need to relocate.

WHAT’S THE ROLE?

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns supporting product lifecycles, promotions, and customer engagement.
