Job Description

This Engineer role requires a Bachelor's or higher degree with 3-6 years of experience in CAD modelling & Drafting. The position focuses on product design & development, specifically BIW systems and closures. Key skills include Catia V5 surface, solid modeling, drafting, and PLM Connect. Responsibilities involve style surface feasibility, analysis, packaging studies, and understanding sheet metal operations. Candidates should have experience in DFx and knowledge of tooling, materials, GD&T, DFMEA, and DVP. Project coordination, communication, and maintaining project status are also crucial.

Good To Have:

Knowledge in tooling, fixings, Materials, GD & T, Stack up DFMEA, DVP etc. will be preferable

Must Have:

Experience in Design & Development BIW SYSTEMS Closures (Doors, Roof, Bonnet, Tail Gate), Fender, Carrier Systems Front End Carrier, Crash Management System.
Very Good Skills in Catia V5 Surface, Solid Modeling & Drafting.
Experience on PLM Connect.
Experience in Style Surface Feasibility & Analysis i.e. checking Draft, Tooling Feasibility, ECE R26 Regulation Evaluation, creating concept proposals Packaging Study with surrounding parts, Benchmarking Study and Analysis, Joining Processes for Sheet metal parts.
Understanding of Sheet metal part Operations Piercing, Blanking, Forming, Drawing, Trimming etc. for tooling feasibility.
Should be experience in DFx (Design for Mfg., assembly & Serviceability).
Should be responsible for Quality, Delivery,Time lines for responsible system.
Maintain & support project status & documentation to present in Customer Meetings.
Should be able to give advance inputs to Internal teams & Customer to resolve the issues.
Strong communication , Presentation & Documentation skills.
