Job Description

The Engineering Delivery Manager will join Thales' headquarters in Meudon, France, to work on a digital platform for industrial component information and services. This platform centralizes technical, obsolescence, environmental, export control, and CAD modeling data, accessible via a portal and shared through service-oriented interfaces. The role involves defining engineering standards, facilitating strategy implementation, driving continuous improvement through retrospectives, and fostering a learning organization within a 50-person team spread across Paris and India.
Must have:
  • Define engineering standards and an organization adapted to project challenges and objectives.
  • Facilitate the implementation of defined strategies and measure their effectiveness.
  • Boost continuous improvement by promoting retrospectives and process/practice reviews.
  • Foster learning and dissemination of improvement topics to support a learning organization.
  • Significant experience in managing engineering teams for projects or products/services.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, processes, and practices.
  • Communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Lean & Agile methodologies and their application.
  • Proven experience in managing large volumes of data.
  • Recognized as a leader capable of building and implementing an engineering organization.
  • Ability to measure performance, identify improvement areas, and promote continuous improvement.

Your daily life

By joining us in Meudon, you will join the Thales Group headquarters located on the banks of the Seine and organized as a true campus, bringing together our digital identity and security activities.

The product you will work on is a digital information and services platform built around a knowledge base of various industrial components (hardware, chemical, software, etc.).

Used for the benefit of the entire industrial chain, from design to support and maintenance, including purchasing and supply chain, it centralizes all types of information: "technical", "obsolescence", "environmental regulations", "Export control", "CAD modeling"... This information is accessible to internal and external users through a portal and shared within an ecosystem of applications via service-oriented interfaces.

The team of about fifty people is spread across the Paris Region and India.

In this context, your main missions will be:

  • Define engineering standards and an organization adapted to the project's challenges and objectives
  • Facilitate the implementation of the strategies you have defined and measure their effectiveness
  • Boost continuous improvement by promoting the organization of retrospectives and reviews of processes and practices
  • Foster learning and dissemination of improvement topics to support a learning organization

Your profile:

With a higher education degree (BAC+5), you have significant experience in managing engineering teams responsible for delivering projects or products and services.

Strong understanding of engineering principles, processes, and practices

Communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in Lean & Agile methodologies and their application

Proven experience in managing large volumes of data

Recognized as a leader capable of building and implementing an engineering organization

Ability to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and promote continuous improvement
