Job Summary

Work & Co, part of Accenture Song, is seeking an Engineering Director to lead small, collaborative teams in creating world-class digital products and experiences. This role involves hands-on leadership in product development, proposing clean and functional design systems, developing robust, testable, and scalable technical solutions, writing, debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing code for the best user experience, and mentoring junior developers. The director will interpret business requirements into architectural plans and decisions, focusing on both established best practices and emerging technologies.

Must Have

  • Offer hands-on senior leadership in product development.
  • Propose and advocate for clean and functional design systems.
  • Develop robust, testable, and scalable technical solutions following best practices.
  • Write, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize code for the best user experience.

Additionally, they play an active role in developing the talents of more junior engineering staff, ensuring that team members continue to grow and face new challenges.

Qualifications

What you will do daily:

  • Offer hands-on senior leadership in product development work;
  • Propose and advocate for clean and functional design systems;
  • Develop robust, testable, and scalable technical solutions, following market best practices;
  • Write, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize code with a focus on delivering the best user experience;
  • Guide and mentor other developers on the team.

In addition, it is desirable:

  • More than 8 years of experience in web development, including experience with agile methodologies;
  • Solid proficiency in JavaScript, with projects using ES6/7, transpilation, and typing systems;
  • Familiarity with one or more MV* frameworks (such as React, Angular, Vue, among others);
  • Mastery of HTML and CSS, in addition to Responsive Design principles;
  • Experience in implementing CSS pre/post-processors and/or CSS modules;
  • Proven understanding of task runners, such as Gulp, Webpack, or Rollup;
  • Experience using GIT as part of a development team;
  • Experience or interest in native application development and/or React Native;
