Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with technical leadership leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience architecting and developing cloud solutions to ambiguous problems.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud computing platforms.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration, and conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development.
- Define the technical idea and strategy for the backend services that support the mobile application, and work with mobile app teams to ensure integration and optimal performance.
- Oversee the development life-cycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of backend features.
- Collaborate with ACE teams (e.g., capabilities, media generation, effects) to integrate their services and features, and work with EMCO teams to ensure alignment and integration with broader platform initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy best practices.
