Job Description

The Engineering Test Technician 1 will support product development activities within the Test Lab for all FOX Factory SSG brands. This role involves direct interaction with Fox technicians, engineers, and managers. Responsibilities include executing lab tests, collecting and documenting data, supporting sample logistics, maintaining lab standards, operating test equipment, assisting with maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement of test methods and documentation.
Must have:
  • Execute lab tests per documented procedures and engineering direction
  • Collect, document, and communicate test data accurately
  • Support sample logistics, including preparation, inspection, and disposal
  • Maintain lab organization, safety standards, and cleanliness
  • Operate servo-hydraulic, electromechanical, and other custom test equipment
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Support procurement of lab consumables and supplies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test methods and documentation
  • Assist in developing new test procedures, fixtures, and equipment
  • Familiarity with hands-on mechanical work with complex assemblies
  • Ability to read and follow technical documents and test plans
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and electromechanical systems
  • Proficient in data entry, analysis, and use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Skilled in using hand tools and precision measurement equipment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Minimum two-year technical degree in Science or Technology
  • 2 yrs. or more of general mechanical or electrical experience
Good to have:
  • Experience with servo hydraulic test equipment
  • Experience in the cycling industry

Position Summary:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute lab tests per documented procedures and engineering direction

  • Operate servo-hydraulic, electromechanical, and other custom test equipment

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Familiarity with hands-on mechanical work with complex assemblies
  • Ability to read and follow technical documents and test plans
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and electromechanical systems
  • Proficient in data entry, analysis, and use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Skilled in using hand tools and precision measurement equipment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum two-year technical degree in Science or Technology.

Experience:

  • 2 yrs. or more of general mechanical or electrical experience.
  • Experience with servo hydraulic test equipment, preferred
  • Experience in the cycling industry, a plus.
  • Basic machining skills is highly valued.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time.
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer.
