Job Description

The Executive, Accounts Payable will be responsible for processing invoices, expenses, and supplier payments. They will also support reporting, follow up, and ensure compliance with processes. Responsibilities include reviewing invoices, auditing expenses, reconciling vendor statements, and assisting with month-end closing. The candidate will need to respond to queries, support finance teams, and handle ad hoc reporting. This role will be essential for the smooth functioning of financial operations, requiring attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
Must have:
  • Minimum 1+ years accounting experience
  • Experience with accounts payable and receivable
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts and principles
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Excellent social skills in oral & written English
  • Accuracy and outstanding attention to detail.
Good to have:
  • Pursuing a Finance degree or qualification
  • Experience in Oracle System ERP would be an advantage.

Executive – Accounts Payable

Position Summary

The selected candidate for this role is responsible for supporting the group through the Accounts Payable activities such as processing invoices, expenses and supplier payments every day. The role will also support reporting and follow up across group users to ensure group wide compliance with associated process, procedures and operational controls.

Role Responsibilities

  • Review and process all invoices with appropriate documentation and Purchase Order.
  • Audit and validate Employee Expense claims.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and accurate discrepancies.
  • Accounts payable related queries via Email and Calls.
  • Assist in month end closing and reporting
  • Work in accordance with the payment process outlined by the Accounts Payable manager.
  • Support wider finance teams where volumes are high/resolution sophisticated to ensure group significant metric targets and management reporting deadlines are met.
  • Ad hoc reporting and requests from Group and/or local finance as the need arises.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Pursuing a Finance degree or a professional qualification at the foundation level.
  • Minimum 1+ years Accounting experience with a proven track record in
    • Accounts payable and accounts receivable teams in a large organisation
    • Understanding of accounting concepts and principles and reporting to tight deadlines.
    • Knowledge and experience of reconciliation processes and implementation of financial controls in operations
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages. Specially in Excel.
  • Excellent social skills in oral & written English, ability to articulate and develop ideas in order to respond clearly and concisely to various audiences who are internal and external.
  • Asserts own ideas credibly and persuades others through gaining support and dedication.
  • Shows willingness to learn new methods, procedures or techniques resulting from departmental change.
  • Accuracy and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Drive SLA performance and efficiency.
  • Ability to optimally prioritize, plan and implement tasks by making timely decisions.
  • Ability to work according to UK work hours.
  • Experience in Oracle System ERP would be an advantage.
