Job Description

The Executive Assistant will foster a sense of effectiveness and efficiency, by utilizing a strong command of administrative and office skills. The EA will represent the VP and The New York Times brand, to both internal colleagues and external clients, and will be expected to approach tasks and requests with a enthusiasm. This role is based in our NYC HQ and reports to the Vice President, Partnerships & Portfolio Development.
Must have:
  • Ensure efficient, effective and economical facilitation of general office administration.
  • Communicate and manage the flow of office management policies and procedures.
  • Schedule appointments, interviews, conference calls and meetings including booking conference rooms.
  • Manage travel bookings of airfare and hotels while adhering to company policies.
  • Enter monthly expense reports.
  • Maintain good working relationships with vendors/suppliers and the Facilities Department.
  • Perform other duties as required, including preparing various reports, coordinate vacation schedules, track days off (vacation, personal, sick), etc.
  • Calendar management, working closely with the Deputy.
  • Perform special projects as required.
  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
Good to have:
  • 3+ years of experience providing administrative support for senior executives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience preferred, providing administrative support for senior executives.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and other staff.
  • Ability to lead efforts as needed in support of customer business objectives.
