Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee operations, maintenance, and strategic planning for its Santa Clara campus and other US/Canada buildings. The role requires working knowledge of commercial building systems like chillers, HVAC, and building management. Responsibilities include supervising Facilities Engineers, developing management strategies, managing contracts, and liaising with construction, EHS, and security teams. The manager will also plan and execute capital and expense budgets for facilities operations and maintenance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Must have:
  • Provide direct Facilities Management Supervision to 5 Facilities Engineers across the US.
  • Provides Facilities, Maintenance support and guidance to functional peers and business unit management.
  • Develop and implement strategies for facilities management and cost optimization.
  • Manage contracts related to Facilities/Maintenance operations.
  • Liaisons for construction teams on small construction projects and repairs.
  • Liaisons for Environment Health and Safety and security team to align with corporate standards.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align facilities management with organizational objectives.
  • Plans and manages new and existing maintenance programs.
  • Plans and executes fiscal year capital and expense budgets for facilities operations and maintenance.
  • Willing to travel to various locations to conduct routine and non-routine assessments and address issues.

General Summary:

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities Manager to oversee the operations, maintenance, and strategic planning of our Santa Clara campus and building throughout the US and Canada.

Candidates should have working knowledge of systems common to commercial buildings. This includes but not limited to: Centrifugal and screw type chillers, cooling towers, HVAC systems, domestic and heating hot water boilers systems, compressed air systems, building management systems, building envelope systems, interior and exterior lighting, café operations and equipment maintenance, pest control programs, landscape and hardscape maintenance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Must be able to effectively communicate through all standard mediums.

Regular travel to various offices throughout the US and Canada.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct Facilities Management Supervision to 5 Facilities Engineers across the US.
  • Provides Facilities, Maintenance support and guidance to functional peers and business unit management of various levels as it relates to their operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for facilities management and cost optimization.
  • Manage contracts related to Facilities/Maintenance operations.
  • Liaisons for construction teams on small construction projects and repairs throughout the US and Canada.
  • Liaisons for our Environment Health and Safety and security team throughout the US and Canada to align with corporate standards.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR, IT, and senior leadership, to align facilities management with organizational objectives.
  • Plans and manages new and existing maintenance programs throughout the US and Canada.
  • Plans and executes fiscal year capital and expense budgets for facilities operations and maintenance.
  • Willing to travel to various locations across the US and Canada to conduct routine and non-routine assessments and address issues. Meet with subordinates, functional peers and business unit management to provide guidance and support on Facilities and Maintenance topics.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the US and Canada.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulatory compliance.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$130,400.00 - $195,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
