The Facilities Operations Technical Watch - Night Shift role involves operating, maintaining, installing, repairing, and troubleshooting all site facilities systems, including FMCS and BAS automation. Responsibilities span preventative, predictive, and RCM maintenance across various disciplines like HVAC, electrical, and process piping. The role requires participation in emergency activities, maintaining operating procedures, and applying multiple technical skills to ensure continuous operation and support for manufacturing facilities.
Must have:
  • Operate, maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot all site facilities systems.
  • Operate and maintain site FMCS and BAS automation systems.
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and RCM maintenance on all site facilities systems.
  • Work across all specialties/disciplines (HVAC, electrical, process piping, mechanical, instrumentation, waste water treatment, UPW systems).
  • Participate in emergency facilities activities.
  • Maintain and update operating procedures.
  • Apply multiple technical skills in two or more disciplines (HVAC, electrical, process piping, mechanical, instrumentation, waste water treatment, UPW systems).
  • Interpret complex multi-disciplined schematics, drawings, O&M manuals.
  • Knowledge and operation of personal computers and CMMS systems.
  • Working knowledge of local, state, and national building and environmental codes.
  • Understanding of industry and site equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to manipulate and control hand tools and equipment.
  • Physical ability to work in temperature extremes.
  • Physical ability to work in labor intensive assignments for up to 12 hours.
  • Physical ability to effectively and safely maneuver in tight locations.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds or push/pull up to 60 pounds.
  • Physical ability to work around or near chemicals or residues such as acids, solvents, oils and grease.
  • Required to respond to emergencies/outages.
  • Requires medical surveillance and to be SCBA/APR approved.
  • Required to work off-shift, weekend and holidays.
Good to have:
  • 3-5 years experience with facility systems and controls.
  • Proficient in use of Maintenance Connection.
  • Perform air-balancing requirements for factory and office space personnel.
  • Perform minor pipefitting maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance functions on toxic gas monitoring controllers.
  • Oversee boiler preventive maintenance annuals and chiller preventive maintenance annuals.
  • Apply and interpret predictive maintenance concepts including, thermographic inspection, and ultrasonic analysis.
  • Perform instrumentation calibration, installation and troubleshooting of electronic devices such as temperature transmitters, humidity transmitters and level controllers.
  • Perform a wide range of low voltage electrical maintenance installations and troubleshooting.

Job Details

The Trades Person Multi-Ops Job includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Multi-Ops can be a NXP employee or a Contractor
  • Operates, maintains, installs, repairs, and troubleshoots "all" site facilities systems. Operates and maintains site FMCS and BAS automation systems. Performs preventative, predictive, and RCM maintenance on "all" site facilities systems. Must work across "all" specialties/disciplines in performance of PMs, corrective maintenance, trouble calls, design, project management, system startup and commissioning, vendor interface, contract coordination, and inspection activities. Participates in technical training in advanced technical areas. Maintains and updates operating procedures. Participates in emergency facilities activities, site wide. May perform air-balancing requirements for factory and office space personnel. May perform minor pipefitting maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • May perform preventative maintenance functions on toxic gas monitoring controllers. May oversee boiler preventive maintenance annuals and chiller preventive maintenance annuals. May apply and interpret predictive maintenance concepts including, thermographic inspection, and ultrasonic analysis. May perform instrumentation calibration, installation and troubleshooting of electronic devices such as temperature transmitters, humidity transmitters and level controllers. May perform air-balancing requirements for factory and office space personnel. May perform a wide range of low voltage electrical maintenance installations and troubleshooting. May perform minor pipefitting maintenance, repairs, and installations. Capable of effective communication and interaction with AuSS staff, management, suppliers and and all internal business partners
  • Able to apply multiple technical skills in two or more of the following disciplines: HVAC, electrical, process piping, mechanical, instrumentation, waste water treatment, and UPW systems. Ability to interpret complex multi disciplined schematics, drawings, O&M manuals. Knowledge and operation of personal computers and CMMS systems. Working knowledge of local, state, and national building and environmental codes. Understanding of industry and site equipment. Basic troubleshooting skills.
