Job Summary
NZXT is seeking a Fan Development Engineer to lead the product roadmap architecture, fan design, review, and validation for PC case and cooler products. This role involves leading ODM design teams and requires hands-on experience, collaborating with product and program managers on specifications, design, development, and production. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of fan design experience.
Must Have
- Own and direct fan development architecture
- Partner with Product management to define fan roadmap
- Optimize performance and noise design for fans
- Research, analyze, and recommend new fan design approaches
- Plan projects, manage schedules, meet TTM, reduce cost, and improve product quality
- Collaborate with validation engineers to resolve design and quality issues
- Create and review technical documentation (specs, test procedures)
- Evaluate and debug design prototypes, generate engineering reports
- Work closely with ID, ME, FW, and PM cross-functional teams
- Work closely with ODM fan suppliers
- Understand manufacturing processes and customer complaints to improve product design
- Stay updated on industry trends for new product development
- BSME/MSME with 5+ years of direct experience in system fan & DC fan design
- Minimum 3 years in the consumer electronics industry
- Familiar with motor and rotational mechanism design
- Proficient in fluid dynamics and flow simulation tools
- Knowledgeable about fan operation principles
- Capable of independently completing projects
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese

JOB SUMMARY
NZXT is seeking a Fan Development Engineer who can take ownership of the product roadmap architecture, leading the fan design, review, and validation of PC case and cooler related products. The ideal candidate will not only lead ODM design teams but also be hands-on, with 5+ years of fan design experience. This individual will collaborate across departments, assisting product managers and program managers in product specification, design, development and production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and direct fan development architecture
- Partner with Product management to define fan roadmap
- Optimization of performance and noise design for the fan.
- Research, analyze and recommend new fan design approaches
- Plan project, manage the schedule and work to meet TTM (Time to market), reduce cost and improve product quality
- Collaborate with system or lab validation testing engineers to discover and resolve any design, signal integrity, or quality related issues
- Create and review technical documentation including product specifications, test procedures, etc
- Evaluate and debug design prototypes on the bench and generate detailed engineering reports of findings and recommendations
- Work in close coordination with ID, ME, FW and PM cross-functional team
- Working closely with ODM fan suppliers.
- Understand the product manufacturing process and customer complaints, improve and enhance product design quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends to plan and develop new products in the early stages.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSME/MSME with 5+ years of direct experience with system fan & DC fan design with a minimum of 3 years in the consumer electronics industry.
- Familiar with motor and rotational mechanism design.
- Proficient in fluid dynamics and flow simulation tools.
- Knowledgeable about fan operation principles.
- Capable of independently completing projects.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
SKILLS
- Proficient in CFD simulation software.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Creo and SolidWorks preferred).
- Ability to lead internal and external team members to implement the design vision in a fast-paced work environment
- Good organization and communication skills
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with minimal guidance or supervision
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Google Apps and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
