A Field Application Engineer provides technical expertise to drive design wins and product production, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing issues. This role involves assisting partners and customers with Server/Client/Embedded Design requirements, acting as a technical consultant from architectural evaluation to design completion. Responsibilities include understanding system requirements, providing product expertise, and collaborating across the entire design cycle, including Design Architecture, Schematic, PCB Layout, and Validation, to ensure timely design readiness.
Must have:
  • Provide technical expertise to close new design win opportunities.
  • Provide co-engineering to drive product to production.
  • Exhibit deep knowledge of the product portfolio to drive sales.
  • Cultivate relationships with customer teams to identify new opportunities.
  • Influence and enable OEMs, distributors, and ecosystem partners to drive sales.
  • Develop product demonstrations for customers.
  • Assist in product design and review during onsite visits.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Establish relationships to facilitate rapid resolution of customer issues.
  • Analyze data to answer questions, reproduce errors, and resolve customer issues.
  • Provide timely feedback to manufacturing and product teams.
  • Assist India Ecosystem Partners and Customers with Server/Client/Embedded Design.
  • Utilize product portfolios including Processors, Ethernet, Storage, IPs.
  • Provide on-site customer support as needed.
  • Act as a technical consultant from architectural evaluation through design completion.
  • Understand customer system requirements and provide expertise in product use.
  • Work along with Partners across the entire Design Cycle of Server/Client Products.
  • Cover Design Architecture, Schematic, PCB Layout, Fab Assembly, Testing/Validation.
  • Cover BMC/BIOS/FW Development.
  • Ensure successful Design readiness within agreed Timelines.
  • 8 to 10 years of work experience in designing of hardware platform.
  • Contribute and execute to territory, account, and opportunity plans.
  • Engage with customer's high-level system architects and key decision makers.
  • Understand system applications and influence design choices.
  • Provide creative solutions to customer problems.
  • Ensure designs are architected with and around the company's products.
  • Align with key influencers for design support and technical training.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and work effectively in diverse teams.

Provides technical expertise to close new design win opportunities and provides co-engineering to drive product to production that results in billed revenue (sales in and/or sales through). Exhibits deep knowledge of the product portfolio to drive sales for established businesses and plant the seeds for growth in emerging businesses. Cultivates the relationship between the company and customer teams to identify and develop new opportunities within assigned accounts. Influences and enables OEMs, distributors, and ecosystem partners to drive sales through revenue. Develops product demonstrations for customers to gauge product capabilities, assists in product design and review during onsite visits, and ensures customer requirements are met. Establishes relationship with customer teams to facilitate rapid resolution of customer issues and promote the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Analyzes data to answer questions, reproduce errors, and resolve or escalate customer issues. Provides timely feedback to the manufacturing and product teams on product issues and future requirements and ensures that the company is adept to responding and/or anticipating changes needed for business continuity.

Note: This is a commissioned sales position. As an FAE in the sales organization, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting India Ecosystem Partners and Customers with the design and implementation of their Server/Client/Embedded Design requirements, utilizing product portfolios including Processors, Ethernet, Storage, IPs etc.
  • This role will include product positioning, on-site customer support as needed, and will include being a technical consultant to our key customers as they go from architectural evaluation through completion of their designs.
  • By understanding customer system requirements, and providing expertise in the use of our products, we enable them to bring competitive products to market in a timeframe that maximizes their success.

  • Role requires to work along with the Partners across the entire Design Cycle of their Server/Client Products including Design Architecture, Schematic, PCB Layout, Fab Assembly, Testing/Validation, BMC/BIOS/FW Development etc. and ensure the successful Design readiness within the agreed Timelines.
  • 8 to 10 years of work experience in designing of hardware platform.

Your specific role will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Contribute, and execute, to territory, account, and opportunity plans as part of the Strategic Sales Team
  • Engage with our customer's high level system architects, and key decision makers, to understand their system applications, influence their design choices, provide creative solutions to their problems, and ensure that they are architected with, and around, our products
  • Align with the key influencers, both at the company and the customer's technical staff, to coordinate design support and technical training
  • Demonstrate teamwork, and ability to work effectively in informal, and formal, teams with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and electronics engineering or electronics and communication engineering or equivalent in a related field with 5+ years of experience.

Experience in a technical role having hands on experience for designing in system / board technologies for client , edge and data center
