Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of client equipment across Cubic-maintained assets. Your primary goal is to ensure devices are restored to full operational status and maintained to the highest standards, while meeting contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on Cubic devices.
- Respond promptly to faults and carry out repairs following defined procedures to maximize reliability and uptime.
- Adhere to the Minimum Call Procedure (MCP) during all maintenance activities.
- Minimize device downtime in line with contractual obligations.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and performance.
- Accurately report maintenance activities and complete administrative tasks (e.g., timesheets, Workday updates, vehicle checks).
- Support Maintenance Team Leaders and Field Services Managers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and customer requirements.
- Actively contribute to team meetings and initiatives.
- Assist with inventory checks and manage parts collection/delivery from store locations.
- Work within a defined shift pattern.
- Uphold Cubic’s values and comply with all company policies, including Code of Conduct, Quality, Security, and Health & Safety standards.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by your Line or Department Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- HND, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience in equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, or electronic aptitude.
- Basic understanding of network systems.
- Proficiency in using PCs.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desirable:
- Experience working under SLA-driven contracts.
- Basic knowledge of fibre optics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with minor civil works.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7.5 hours per day
