We are seeking an enthusiastic qualified Financial Accountant with a passion for their field to join our dynamic and collaborative UK finance team. You will be responsible for a broad range of duties including month-end reporting and providing business support, whilst ensuring that the strong financial control environment is maintained. Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statements, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset registers, intercompany entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also assist in performance reporting, ensure internal controls are followed, support the annual audit process, and prepare VAT returns.
Must have:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Experienced in month-end close to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Financial Accountant

We are seeking an enthusiastic qualified Financial Accountant with a passion for their field to join our dynamic and collaborative UK finance team.

You will be responsible for a broad range of duties including month-end reporting and providing business support, whilst ensuring that the strong financial control environment is maintained.

What You’ll Do:

Support the Finance Manager and Financial Controller in producing monthly Financial Statements including:

  • Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments, including liaising with business stakeholders
  • Review and maintenance of fixed asset registers
  • Preparation of intercompany entries
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Assist in the production of monthly and quarterly performance reporting by providing variance analysis on your areas of responsibility

Ensuring that the documented internal controls are followed to safeguard the continued strong internal control environment, including identifying potential efficiencies and areas of development

Supporting the annual audit process, including working with the external auditors

VAT return preparation

Other duties as requested by the Finance Manager/Financial Controller including cover during periods of high-workloads and absences

What You’ll Bring:

  • Team player with a positive, personable attitude, who wants to work in a growing and dynamic environment.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Experienced in month-end close to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Netsuite experience preferred
