This role focuses on securing South Africa's public sector by prospecting, qualifying leads, and collaborating with sales teams. You will articulate Mimecast's value, understand public sector cybersecurity challenges, and meet pipeline goals, contributing to both community security and career growth.
Good To Have:
  • Experience or strong interest in public sector sales or government procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of South African government structures.
  • Previous experience selling to public sector clients.
Must Have:
  • Prospect and qualify leads within the South African public sector using advanced tools and resources.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Marketing, Channel, and Sales teams to build a robust pipeline.
  • Profile and target key public sector organizations to generate new business opportunities.
  • Effectively articulate Mimecast’s value proposition to public sector prospects and secure high-quality meetings for the wider team.
  • Develop a deep understanding of cybersecurity challenges specific to government and public sector organizations.
  • Meet or exceed monthly meeting targets and pipeline goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales development activities in CRM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivation to succeed and grow your career within Mimecast and the cybersecurity industry.
  • Coachability, curiosity, and a proactive, autonomous approach to business development.

What You’ll Do:

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this position is R336,000 −R504,000 (OTE) plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
