About the job
The position, located at Saxo’s headquarters in Hellerup, is within the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Regulatory & Governance team, which is part of the broader FCP organization in the 1st Line of Defence.
Our team has recently assumed additional responsibilities within FCP, and we are therefore looking to extend our team with an additional data-savvy colleague.
The team is responsible for proactively managing regulatory interactions within FCP and overseeing the fulfilment of FCP’s commitments to supervisory authorities. Additionally, the team conducts timely, high-quality regulatory and management information reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, and maintains governance across the FCP organisation.
As FCP Data Expert, you will establish and maintain a robust data and reporting framework to monitor key risks and controls within the FCP function. You will deliver actionable insights and lasting value through advanced data solutions, such as dashboards in PowerBI and Databricks. Your responsibilities will include both ad-hoc data extractions and recurring regulatory reporting, performed independently and in collaboration with colleagues. You will work closely with data and subject-matter experts across Saxo and provide strategic advice and insights to senior management and FCP leadership.
Your work ensures that regulatory reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with both internal and external requirements, safeguarding Saxo’s reputation and compliance posture. Through proactive data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, you drive operational excellence and help the organisation respond swiftly to emerging risks and regulatory changes.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a robust data and reporting framework to monitor key risks and controls within the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) function.
- Deliver actionable insights through advanced data solutions, including dashboards in PowerBI and Databricks.
- Perform ad-hoc data extractions and recurring regulatory reporting, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
- Analyse data related to financial crime prevention and communicate findings to senior management and internal stakeholders.
- Implement, maintain, and conduct internal reviews of data quality, proactively investigate and address issues, including understanding mismatches between what relevant business procedures would require and what the data reflects,
- Adequately document relevant processes and related technical specifications, ensuring materials are prepared for review by senior management and relevant stakeholders,
- Proactively drive continuous improvement, optimisation of processes, and ways to turn data into tangible, accessible business insights,
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, and help matching you understanding of the underlying data with related business requirements.
Your Profile
You combine strong business understanding with solid data analysis and IT expertise, enabling you to analyse data and address issues from a business perspective. You thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities effectively, and maintain attention to detail. You like to take ownership, challenge the second-best solution, and believe in the power of good collaboration with others.
You have 5+ years of end-to-end data analysis experience, ideally within financial services or a comparable regulated industry. Your expertise includes supporting data inquiries, working with large datasets, production of management and regulatory reports, all to generate actionable insights.
In addition to advanced Excel skills, you have extensive experience with SQL and PowerBI, and have a conceptual understanding of Financial Crime related processes. Experience with big data processing and data quality initiatives, and platforms such as Databricks or VS Code is highly valued.
You excel at collaborating across departments and business units, leading cross-functional projects, and resolving conflicting requirements. Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, written as well as verbal, are essential. You are comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
Finally, you bring solid project management capabilities, understand the impact of data quality on business outcomes, and are committed to continuous improvement. Professional-level English is required.
