Job Summary
The Business Risk Specialist position is within Saxo's Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Regulatory & Governance team, located at the headquarters in Hellerup. This role focuses on proactively managing regulatory interactions, overseeing FCP's commitments to supervisory authorities, and conducting high-quality regulatory and management information reporting. The specialist will serve as a Risk Champion, supporting FCP management with risk and control mapping, implementing the Non-Financial Risk Policy, and coordinating Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) processes such as Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), control reviews, event management, incident tracking, and action follow-up.
Must Have
- Support FCP management with risk and control mapping
- Implement and execute the Non-Financial Risk Policy
- Coordinate planning and execution of NFRM processes (RCSAs, control reviews, event management, incident tracking, action follow-up)
- Maintain oversight of risk and control matters within FCP
- Assist in escalating issues that require decision-making
- Coordinate risk reporting for timely, accurate, and actionable insights
- Identify, assess, and manage non-financial risk events within FCP
- Drive timely and good quality documentation of FCP capabilities, risks, and controls
- Facilitate, review, conduct, and assess the quality of RCSAs in FCP
- Conduct product and service risk assessments, including managing any required remediation
- Oversee and document policies, procedures, processes, and associated risk data
- Coordinate and ensure Business Continuity Plans are in place and effective

The position, located at Saxo’s headquarters in Hellerup, is within the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Regulatory & Governance team, which is part of the broader FCP organization in the 1st Line of Defence.
Due to new responsibilities in FCP, the team is being expanded.
The team is responsible for proactively managing regulatory interactions within FCP and overseeing the fulfilment of FCP’s commitments to supervisory authorities. Additionally, the team conducts timely, high-quality regulatory and management information reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, and maintains governance across the FCP organisation. Additionally, the team facilitates non-financial risk management within the FCP organisation.
We seek a Financial Crime & Regulatory SpecialistBusiness Risk Specialist to assume the Risk Champion role in our Financial Crime Prevention team.
As the Risk Champion within FCP, you will be instrumental in supporting FCP management with risk and control mapping, including the implementation and execution of the Non-Financial Risk Policy. You will serve as a vital link between FCP management, staff, Operational Risk Committee representatives, and Group Non-Financial Risk Management organisation, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration across stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating the planning and execution of Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) processes, such as Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), control reviews, event management, incident tracking, and action follow-up. You will maintain oversight of risk and control matters within FCP, assist in escalating issues that require decision-making, and coordinate risk reporting to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable insights for management. You will be supporting senior management by contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the risk landscape within FCP, while actively fostering a strong risk culture that aligns with Saxo’s objectives.
Responsibilities
- Embedding a Culture of Risk and Compliance: Support the FCP Regulatory & Governance team in maintaining a comprehensive risk and compliance culture, integrating risk insights into decision-making and strategic planning.
- Non-Financial Risk Event Identification and Management: Identify, assess, and manage non-financial risk events within FCP, ensuring alignment with the Group’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements. Track and follow up on risk events, ensuring timely and effective remediation.
- Documentation of Financial Crime Prevention Risk Management: Take ownership of driving timely and good quality documentation of the Financial Crime Prevention capabilities, risks, and controls.
- Ongoing Risk Event Oversight: Maintain comprehensive oversight of all risk events to ensure ongoing compliance and resolution.
- Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs): Facilitate, review, conduct, and assess the quality of RCSAs in FCP.
- Facilitate Product Risk Assessment Facilitation: Conduct product and service risk assessments, including managing any required remediation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across Saxo to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and proper business procedures.
- Policy, Procedure, and Risk Data Management: Oversee and document policies, procedures, processes, and associated risk data, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
- Risk Assessment Workshops and Regulatory Implementation: Facilitate risk assessment workshops and support regulatory implementations, collaborating with 2LoD Risk & Compliance and 3LoD Internal Audit.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote and monitor continuous improvement in risk culture, ensuring oversight of risk events, root cause analysis, and validation of corrective actions
- Business Continuity: Coordinate and ensure Business Continuity Plans are in place and effective, including training for senior management
