This role involves building and maintaining client relationships, managing sales processes, handling distributor platform setups, and ensuring efficient sales operations through CRM and KPI systems. The candidate will interact with various BlackRock business functions and external stakeholders.
Must Have
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Own sales processes (account opening, AML/KYC client query management, client reporting, record keeping and ongoing regulatory obligations)
- Management of Tier 3 client base within sector
- Coordinate efforts with internal and external stakeholders for new business account onboarding and technology platform setups
- Escalate and resolve areas of concern as raised by clients
- Maintain CRM systems, sales pipeline and ensure best practice record management across the sales function
- Support the sales team with development of sector / geographical strategy decks
- Contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment
- 2-3 years of sales experience

The International Cash Management Group manages a suite of products that includes Prime and Government Money Market and Ultra-Short Duration Mutual funds and Separate Accounts (c. 340bn in assets). Job Purpose/Background/Responsibilities:
The International Cash Management Group EMEA Sales team is seeking a junior relationship manager to support the sales the function in building and maintaining relationships with clients and technology platforms across Europe, based in Amsterdam.
The successful candidate will, in particular, be responsible for helping to build new and develop existing relationships with clients and technology platforms, owning the sales processes required to support the broader sales function in meeting their business objectives, owning distributor platform setups and ensuring the effective running of the sales business for the team through maintenance of CRM and KPI systems.
The role will bring the individual into regular contact with stakeholders across the BlackRock business. Close interaction with all Cash business functions (Product Strategy, COO, Marketing and Portfolio Management) will be expected, as well as with other key businesses within BlackRock – counterparts in the Institutional and Retail sales teams, Legal and Compliance etc.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships:
- Owning the sales processes required to support the broader sales function (for example account opening incl. AML/KYC client query management, client reporting, record keeping and ongoing regulatory obligations) with a particular focus on a client sector (eg Corporates, Non-Bank Financials, Banks)
- Management of Tier 3 client base within sector
- Work to coordinate efforts with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that during the new business account onboarding process and technology platform setups, client needs are fulfilled effectively
- Escalating and resolving areas of concern as raised by clients
- Maintaining CRM systems, sales pipeline and ensuring best practice record management across the sales function
- Supporting the sales team with development of sector / geographical strategy decks

Knowledge / Experience Required:
- 2-3 years of sales experience is preferred, along with an organised approach to work
- Knowledge of financial markets and understanding of the asset management industry
- A keen interest in the future of technology within the asset management sector
- Presentation and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills to help foster an inclusive culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing
- Languages: Fluent English essential, Dutch is an advantage
