As a Public Policy & Regulatory Advisor at PwC Netherlands, you work in the heart of society. You actively engage in discussions with colleagues, translate their analyses, vision, and expertise into relevant expressions for (political) stakeholders, and know better than anyone how to convey that message powerfully. This role involves proactive stakeholder policy, advising internal stakeholders on public policy and regulatory matters, writing and editing advice and communication tools, and initiating and guiding discussions with external stakeholders.

Must Have

  • Completed higher professional education (HBO) or university degree (WO) in Communication, Public Administration, Political Science, or Journalism.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public policy & regulatory affairs, corporate communication, or stakeholder management with the government, a business/financial service provider, or an organization with a complex stakeholder field.
  • Excellent oral, written, and editorial skills in Dutch and English.
  • Context-aware, results-oriented, and strong in creating support and connection.

This is what you will do

The position is part of the External Engagement team, which is part of the Corporate Strategy cluster. This cluster is part of PwC's support branch, Internal Firm Services. The Corporate Strategy cluster translates PwC Netherlands' strategic vision into concrete objectives and initiatives that collectively contribute to the strategic course and future-proofing of PwC Netherlands.

The External Engagement team consists of seven colleagues who work closely together in the field of corporate communication, media relations, and public affairs. You report to the Lead External Engagement. The location for this position is Amsterdam. Your tasks include:

  • In collaboration with the senior advisor and the Public Affairs advisor, you realize a proactive stakeholder policy, in which the interests of PwC and its impact on clients and society are central;
  • You advise internal stakeholders, including partners and colleagues from the Assurance practice, on public policy and regulatory matters. Examples of topics you are involved in can be found on this site;
  • You write and edit advice and communication tools for various target groups, including board members and external stakeholders;
  • You initiate and guide discussions with external stakeholders.
