As a Corporate Communication Advisor/Spokesperson within PwC Netherlands' External Engagement team, you will make an impact with your communication plans and media strategies. You will proactively identify media opportunities, maintain journalist contacts, act as a spokesperson, write press releases, and organize interviews. You will also provide strategic and tactical communication advice to the board, partners, and colleagues within the Tax & Legal field, developing and executing media and external communication plans.

This is what you will do
The position is part of the External Engagement team, which is part of the Corporate Strategy cluster. This cluster is part of PwC's support branch, Internal Firm Services. The Corporate Strategy cluster translates PwC Netherlands' strategic vision into concrete objectives and initiatives that collectively contribute to the strategic direction and future-proofing of PwC Netherlands.
The External Engagement team consists of seven colleagues who work closely together on corporate communication, media relations, and public affairs. You report to the Lead External Engagement. The location for this position is Amsterdam. Your tasks include:
- You proactively identify media opportunities and maintain contacts with relevant journalists. You act as a spokesperson, write press releases, and organize interviews and media appearances.
- You provide solicited and unsolicited communication advice at a strategic and tactical level to the board, partners, and colleagues within the Tax & Legal field. You also write and edit various communication tools for these individuals.
- You develop, implement, and execute media and external communication plans, which clearly express the importance of PwC and Tax & Legal for our clients and society.
This is where you recognize yourself
- You have a completed HBO or university education in Communication or Journalism.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing media and/or communication strategies at the government, a business/financial service provider, or an organization where you deal with a complex stakeholder field.
- You are contextually aware, strong in stakeholder management, results-oriented, and possess excellent oral and written skills (Dutch and English).
- You are available 32-40 hours per week.
