Job Summary

The Senior Paralegal will be a key member of a globally dispersed Product legal team at SailPoint, responsible for managing product reviews, regulatory research, internal fact-finding, and process compliance. This role involves leading cross-functional initiatives and supporting the legal team in ensuring alignment with global regulations, combining traditional paralegal duties with specialized software development-related functions.

Must Have

  • Lead project management for cross-functional initiatives involving the Product legal team
  • Assist in researching, drafting, reviewing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and records relating to the development and adoption of software products
  • Ensure alignment with global regulations, including EU AI Act and others
  • Support with review of SailPoint’s vendor compliance
  • Support with research on jurisdiction-specific requirements and emerging trends to guide compliance strategies
  • Support with other internal and cross-functional projects as needed
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience at a law firm and/or tech company
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with an appropriate level of discretion
  • Proficiency with tools such as MS Office, Adobe, OneTrust, and other privacy and tech platforms
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate effectively and gain trust and confidence with personnel at many different levels

Job Description

In this role, the candidate will work on a globally dispersed team as a key piece that keeps the Product legal team running cohesively. The candidate will have responsibility for internal initiatives as assigned and regularly interface with business partners, with no project too small or too large. This role supports the Product legal team in managing product reviews and ancillary needs such as regulatory research, internal factfinding, and process creation and compliance. This role combines traditional paralegal responsibilities with specialized software development-related functions.

Primary job responsibilities:

  • Lead project management for cross-functional initiatives involving the Product legal team
  • Assist in researching, drafting, reviewing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and records relating to the development and adoption of software products, ensuring alignment with global regulations, including EU AI Act and others
  • Support with review of SailPoint’s vendor compliance
  • Support with research on jurisdiction-specific requirements and emerging trends to guide compliance strategies
  • Support with other internal and cross-functional projects as needed

As the perfect candidate for this role, you likely have:

  • 10 + years of relevant professional experience at a law firm and/or tech company
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with an appropriate level of discretion
  • Proficiency with tools such as MS Office, Adobe, OneTrust, and other privacy and tech platforms.

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$76,000 - $108,500 - $141,100

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
