BlackRock is seeking a client-facing sales professional to manage enterprise relationships within its US Wealth Advisory business, focusing on retirement. The Director will be responsible for representing BlackRock's full range of retirement offerings, including Model Portfolios, iShares ETFs, and mutual funds, to US retail investors and financial advisors. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with key advisor aggregators and recordkeeper platforms, implementing distribution strategies to grow DC assets, and coordinating client requests and portfolio reviews.

Must Have

  • Develop, forge and maintain successful relationships with key advisor aggregator relationships and recordkeeper platform contacts.
  • Proactively implement distribution strategies to grow DC assets under management.
  • Field, respond to, and accommodate day-to-day client requests.
  • Track activities and maintain contact information in CRM.
  • Coordinate and structure portfolio reviews and research presentation meeting materials.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 is required.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Strong defined contribution plan and market understanding.
  • Knowledge of the equity and bond markets as well as asset allocation strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, maturity and judgment.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, “can do” attitude.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Effective team player.
  • High level of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
  • Motivated by sales and revenue retention.

We are actively seeking client-facing sales professionals with a proven successful track record of covering enterprise relationships. As the world’s largest asset manager, BlackRock has product and solution offerings for almost any investor’s needs. In this role, you will be directly responsible for representing BlackRock’s retirement business and delivering the full capability of the firm.

Business Description

BlackRock’s US Wealth Advisory (“USWA”) business manages the firm’s relationships with US retail investors and financial advisors. Representing a full suite of strategies from Model Portfolios, iShares ETFs, and mutual funds to Alternatives, SMAs, and sub-advisory relationships. USWAs mandate is to deliver One BlackRock to retail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, forge and maintain successful relationships with key advisor aggregator relationships and recordkeeper platform contacts.
  • Proactively implement distribution strategies to grow DC assets under management, with an emphasis on core active and passive investment options and target date strategies.
  • Seek and find opportunities to partner with clients and prospect.
  • Work with Senior Business leaders on executing our intermediary retirement national account strategy with focus clients
  • Field, respond to, and accommodate day-to-day client requests regarding support, marketing, and distribution strategies, leading to addition and retention of BlackRock DC assets.
  • Track activities and maintain contact information in CRM.
  • Coordinate and structure portfolio reviews and research presentation meeting materials.
  • Expand knowledge about products, and services and sales techniques to provide consistently improved assistance.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Liaison internally on detailed client contract work.
  • Partner with Market Leaders and sales desk'
  • Up to 50% client travel.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (MBA, CIMA, CFP, CFA a plus).
  • Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 is required.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Strong defined contribution plan and market understanding.
  • Knowledge of the equity and bond markets as well as asset allocation strategies.

For Chicago, IL Only the salary range for this position is USD$200,000.00 - USD$250,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
