GPO partners cross-functionally to drive client strategy, coordination, and execution of cross-functional partnerships globally for a select set of our largest client relationships. GPO complements the existing coverage model to strengthen and institutionalize the firm’s C-suite connectivity and drive large commercial opportunities at the highest levels of client organizations.
Role Description
As an integral member of GPO, you will play a central role in deepening the firmwide partnership with our most complex and strategically significant clients, including global banks and the world’s leading asset owners such as sovereign wealth funds, pensions, and insurers. In this capacity, you will gain direct visibility into the most important strategic, capital, and investment objectives shaping these institutions and help address their most pressing challenges through thoughtful, cross-functional problem solving.
The role provides exceptional exposure to senior executives, investment teams, and the firm’s highest-priority products and capabilities, including many of our most innovative and future-oriented client offerings. You will develop an intricate understanding of the ecosystem, working across businesses, regions, and functions to design and execute enterprise solutions that align with the long-term ambitions of our largest clients. You will join a collaborative, inquisitive, and high-performing team, and be positioned for significant growth as you help shape some of the firm’s most impactful client partnerships and commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Work on a small, globally-oriented team with extensive day-to-day contact with senior business leaders and stakeholders across the firm.
- Partner with Executive Sponsors to identify commercial opportunities and assign resources in the firm towards those opportunities.
- Partner with our external counterparts to drive forward commercial priorities.
- Organize executive-level partnership summits for assigned clients alongside our client coverage teams.
- Maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., relationship managers and channel leads) who interact with strategic clients.
- Convene and lead impactful account planning sessions in order to share client knowledge and connect the enterprise around revenue growth opportunities.
- Guide engagement strategies for Global Executive Committee (GEC) members with their counterpart executives at GPO client organizations, own the briefing process for these engagements, and provide input on the agenda and talking points.
- Help drive strategic C-Suite events and firm-wide initiatives (sometimes on a global scale).
- Mentor and support the growth of junior team members, with a clear path to leadership and the opportunity to step into a people management role.
- Assist with broader business management activities and strategic projects.
Desired Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience across capital markets, investments, corporate development, advisory or associated fields.
- Advanced knowledge and/or experience working with insurance, banking or or institutional investors preferred.
- Problem solver with an advisory mindset; ability to act as a trusted partner to clients.
- Commitment to excellence and high level of energy to help scale and enhance this strategic function within the firm.
- Analytical ability to synthesize information and summarize issues with robust quantitative skills.
- Superb attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task.
- Effective team player, comfortable working across multiple functions, geographies and stakeholders, with maturity and judgment in dealing with internal clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and understand all aspects of the business, including reporting, communications, and setting and delivering strategic and tactical objectives.
The salary range for this position is USD$130,000.00 - USD$173,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
