Saxo Bank is seeking a motivated Student Assistant for its People Operations team at the Copenhagen Headquarters. This part-time role involves providing proactive support across EMEA offices, collaborating with the Group People & Culture function. The assistant will manage various people administration and Workday system tasks, support employee relations, draft documents, and participate in optimization projects, ensuring smooth day-to-day processes for employees globally.

Must Have

  • Manage re-occurring weekly and monthly tasks (e.g., organizational charts, insurance registration, joiners/leavers updates).
  • Support day-to-day questions regarding collective agreement and employment terms.
  • Draft relevant employee documents.
  • Assist with Employee Relations matters.
  • Become a 'super user' in Workday, demonstrating system changes to colleagues.
  • Assist with updating People documents (handbooks, templates, policies).
  • Participate in development projects focused on optimization and digitalization.
  • Service-minded approach.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English.

Good to Have

  • Last year of bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Legal, Organisational Development, or relevant field.

Would you like the opportunity to be part of our People Operations function covering our offices in EMEA ensuring pro-active, diligent and engaged support to our colleagues throughout the organisation?

We are looking for a motivated and talented Student Assistant to join our team at the Group’s Headquarters in Copenhagen.

As a Student Assistant, you will be working in close collaboration with the whole Group People & Culture function. You will support a wide range of tasks within people administration and people system (Workday) across the global organization as well as collaborate on initiatives that are a part of our yearly wheel.

As a Student Assistant within People Operations, you have a hands-on role where you are responsible for and work independently with various tasks within the team as well as in close collaboration with the other team members in People Operations, the Business Partners as well as the different Centers of Excellence within Group People & Culture.

Responsibilities

As Student Assistant in People Operations, your focus will be on managing processes related to our employees and ensuring smooth day-to-day system processes for the various teams. Your responsibilities will typically include:

  • Responsibility for re-occurring weekly and monthly tasks, e.g. update of organizational charts, insurance registration, update list of joiners/leavers etc. based on our yearly wheel of tasks
  • Support on various day-to-day questions regarding the collective agreement and employment terms and conditions in general
  • Day-to-day support with drafting of relevant employee documents
  • Assist with various tasks in relation to Employee Relations matters
  • Become ‘super user’ in our global people system (Workday) – being able to explain/demonstrate the system to colleagues across the organisation with various changes
  • Assist with updating various People documents, such as employee handbooks, templates, policies etc.
  • Participate in various development projects within the People Operations Team focusing on optimisation and digitalisation

Your profile

As a Student Assistant within People Operations, you need to have a service-minded approach and put a great effort into going the extra mile for your team and the organisation. You must have an interest in helping and supporting colleagues with a wide range of requests.

You can work independently, have an eye for the details and an interest in finding pragmatic solutions to the challenges you are faced with. You are a team player and work as a trusted partner with the rest of the team.

You are preferably in the last year of your bachelor’s degree or studying for your master’s degree within the fields of Human Resources, Legal, Organisational Development or other relevant background and have ideally experience working with People operational tasks such as drafting contracts, updating People systems etc.

You have a good understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

You are motivated, curious in nature and eager to acquire knowledge in new areas. You have a structured and methodical approach to tasks and take a high degree of ownership, while also being able to work in a team setting. You thrive on finding intelligent and automated solutions and appreciate removing obstacles and impediments. You enjoy working in an international, cross-cultural environment and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

You have good communication skills and are fluent in English.
