Data Governance Reporting Analyst

Job Summary
This role is a key analyst within the Global Business Intelligence (BI) team, supporting data governance initiatives and partnering with stakeholders across TransUnion Global. The analyst will work on projects related to data quality, data policies, and maintaining metadata repositories, as well as assisting in the creation and implementation of data governance frameworks and policies. Responsibilities include developing and enforcing data governance policies, collaborating with data stewards to ensure data accuracy, monitoring data lifecycle, conducting data quality assessments, and designing and maintaining dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau. This is a hybrid position requiring regular virtual work and a minimum of two days a week in a TU office.
Must Have
- 2+ years’ experience in data management, data governance, or data quality roles
- Experience conducting data audits
- Maintaining data dictionaries
- Supporting data governance frameworks
- Experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Informatica, or Alation
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)
- Experience with dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and time management
- Ability to develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Collaborate with data stewards and business units to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
- Monitor data lifecycle management, including metadata, lineage, and classification
- Conduct data quality assessments and implement remediation plans
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports
- Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies to support strategic initiatives
- Automate recurring reports and streamline reporting processes
- Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner

- Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with data stewards and business units to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems (including supporting compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal data policies)
- Monitor data lifecycle management, including metadata, lineage, and classification.
- Conduct data quality assessments and implement remediation plans.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Education:

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
