Job Description

The Plant Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting plant operations with accounting, administrative, and financial analysis needs. This role requires working under general direction with discretion and judgment on work priorities, demanding creativity and autonomy. Key responsibilities include acting as a financial business partner for plant management, P&L reporting and analysis, leading weekly and monthly closing activities, and providing ad hoc financial reporting to support operational decision-making. The analyst will also analyze inventory production reporting, review aged inventory, lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, and assist with capital expenditure ROI analysis. Additional duties involve auditing physical inventory, administering cycle count procedures, monitoring internal controls, and preventing fraud.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Working knowledge of accounting and finance practices
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting/admin experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excel and pivot table reporting proficiency
Good to have:
  • Experience in custom manufacturing
  • CPA or CMA
  • Construction accounting experience

Job Summary

The Plant Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting plant operations with accounting, administrative, and financial analysis needs. Works under general direction; exercises discretion and judgement on work priority on a regular basis; and requires a certain degree of creativity and autonomy to perform the job.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Business partner for plant management

  • P&L reporting and analysis

  • Lead weekly and monthly plant closing activities

  • Ad hoc financial reporting to support operational decision-making

  • Analyzes inventory production reporting to ensure adherence to business processes

  • Reviews Aged Inventory

  • Lead annual budgeting process

  • Lead monthly forecasting process

  • Assist plant management with capital expenditures ROI analysis

  • Audit physical inventory and administer cycle count procedures at the plant

  • Monitor internal controls

  • Preventing fraud and safeguarding company assets

  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another business related major required

  • Working knowledge and understanding of accounting and finance practices

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an Accounting/Admin position

  • Experience in custom manufacturing environment preferred

  • CPA or CMA preferred

  • Construction accounting experience a plus

  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook required)

  • Proficiency with Excel and pivot table reporting

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range:  $80,000 - $100,000 annually dependent on experience*

                *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living 

Bonus/Incentive Pay:  Annual performance bonus opportunity based on Company and specific business unit ROI and PBOP achievement criteria and individual job responsibility and performance.
