Job Summary

The Financial Data Analyst monitors and maintains asset data for Clearwater's clients, serving as a content expert on critical data topics like security master, corporate actions, and derivatives. Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, ensuring data quality through validation, collaborating on data solutions, and maintaining real-time securities data. The role also involves basic SQL tasks, validating investment data against market sources, and contributing to reference data products.

Must Have

  • Monitor and maintain asset data for Clearwater’s clients
  • Advise internal and external constituents on proper handling of critical data topics
  • Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries
  • Plan, design, develop, and assess data elements to ensure quality
  • Utilize manual and automated processes to validate data accuracy
  • Evaluate data vendors for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
  • Serve as a content expert in specialized area of data management
  • Collaborate with clients and prospects to implement innovative data solutions
  • Maintain and update securities data in real-time
  • Establish a repository for process documentation
  • Perform basic SQL tasks and acquire fundamental SQL skills
  • Validate investment data by comparing it against third-party market data sources
  • Nurture relationships with data providers, clients, and service delivery managers
  • Contribute to the operational maintenance of reference data products
  • Develop a foundational understanding of fixed income and equity investments
  • Review and update procedures to ensure they remain current and effective
  • Escalate spending queries in a timely manner
  • Act as a reliable reference point for assigned tasks, clients, or processes
  • Ensure compliance with risk and control checks in data management
  • Analyze information flow between accounting and custody systems
  • Develop a working knowledge of corporate bonds and new bond issuance procedures
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel
  • SQL skills
  • Familiarity with technology and tools related to Reference Data
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in Business-related field

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Financial Data Analyst is responsible for monitoring and maintaining asset data for Clearwater’s clients. As content experts, FDAs advise internal and external constituents on the proper handling of critical data topics such as security master, reference data, asset classes, corporate actions, cash flows, analytics, pricing, amortization, performance, derivatives, and alternative assets etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds promptly and accurately to both internal and external inquiries.
  • Plans, designs, develops, and assesses data elements to ensure quality.
  • Utilizes a combination of manual and automated processes to validate data accuracy.
  • Evaluates data vendors for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data.
  • Serves as a content expert in their specialized area of data management.
  • Collaborates with clients and prospects to brainstorm and implement innovative data solutions.
  • Maintains and updates securities data in real-time, ensuring accuracy.
  • Establishes a repository for process documentation, covering workflows not included in standard operating procedures.
  • Performs basic SQL tasks and acquires fundamental SQL skills.
  • Validates investment data by comparing it against third-party market data sources.
  • Nurtures relationships with data providers, clients, and service delivery managers.
  • Contributes to the operational maintenance of reference data products.
  • Develops a foundational understanding of fixed income and equity investments.
