Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Engineer to carry out the functional and technical design of advanced financial engineering models aligned with strategic business and product goals. This role contributes directly to the development of cutting-edge analytics, risk management techniques, and automated trade workflow tools, leveraging modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Responsibilities include designing and developing valuation algorithms, maintaining quantitative libraries for OTC derivatives, building and testing quantitative models, and producing detailed functional specifications.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years of experience as Quantitative Developer/Financial Engineer
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C, VBA, or Java
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Strong interest in financial markets and quantitative modeling
Good to have:
  • Experience with Excel
  • Exposure to OTC derivatives and risk management frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

About the role:
The primary purpose of a Financial Engineer is to carry out the functional and technical design of advanced financial engineering models aligned with strategic business and product goals. The role contributes directly to the development of cutting-edge analytics, risk management techniques, and automated trade workflow tools, leveraging modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Key Responsabilities

  • Design and develop valuation algorithms for new and existing financial instruments.
  • Maintain and enhance quantitative libraries supporting OTC derivatives valuation and risk management.
    • Build and test quantitative models and perform statistical analysis on large time-series datasets.
    • Develop backtesting environments and extract research datasets from client data.
    • Produce detailed functional specifications aligned with business needs.
    • Implement new functionalities and support development teams during integration.
    • Participate in pre-sales workshops to provide financial expertise and strategic input.
    • Provide client support by explaining research methodologies and facilitating product integration.
    • Lead cross-product initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Define team roles and structures to support various projects.
    • Collaborate with documentation teams to produce comprehensive user guides.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Quantitative Developer or Financial Engineer in financial markets.
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C, VBA, or Java.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Familiarity with numerical analysis and stochastic calculus (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong interest in financial markets and quantitative modeling.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Exposure to OTC derivatives and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
