Marvell’s Multimarket Business Group develops high-performance data processing silicon platforms. The SSD Firmware team develops and maintains embedded software for SSDs, collaborating with System Architecture and SoC/IP teams to enable next-generation controllers. This role involves assisting in firmware feature development, creating scripts for failure analysis, and supporting unit test execution for new features.

The SSD Firmware team is responsible for developing and maintaining the embedded software that powers solid-state drives (SSDs). This team collaborates closely with the System Architecture and SoC/IP teams to enable Marvell’s next-generation SSD controllers. Through this partnership, firmware is designed to interface seamlessly with new hardware features and meet evolving performance and reliability standards. The Firmware team delivers firmware to customers and provides ongoing support throughout the product lifecycle, from initial integration to mass production.

What You Can Expect

  • Assist in the development of firmware features to improve performance and reliability.
  • Create and enhance Python or shell scripts to automate failure analysis workflows based on QA team reports.
  • Support the development and execution of unit tests for new firmware features.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields with an anticipated graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2027
  • Experience in C language programming and embedded firmware development
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of PCIe/NVMe/NAND Flash/ARM CPU are preferred
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, and basic statistics beneficial

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

27 - 55, $ per hour.

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
