This Senior Manager role involves mentoring and growing existing teams, working with other development and QA teams, providing technical direction, managing resources, coordinating with engineering departments, and leading the design, implementation, and deployment of highly distributed, large-scale, and resilient applications that have a major company impact.

  • Coordinate resource allocation with other departments
  • Coordinate with engineering departments to improve overall solution
  • Hire, mentor and lead multiple software engineering teams through innovations
  • Lead design, implementation, and deployment of successful highly distributed, large scale and resilient applications
  • BS or MS or PhD in CS, EE or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Advanced C++/C
  • Excellent communication skills on customer facing side
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Expert in one debugging tool
  • Good understanding of build process
  • Very strong command on one operating system/kernel
  • Ability to mentor or resolve complex issues around operating system
  • Excellent logical thinking and able to resolve the issues with never say die attitude

Qualifications for senior manager, software engineering

BS or MS or PhD in CS, EE or related discipline or equivalent experience

Design, implement, review and test software applications Participate in reviews of code, design and requirement specifications to ensure feasibility Conduct and participate in peer reviews to ensure product quality Provide regular updates on progress and delays encountered during development Improve team's technical capabilities and establish best practices for software development or test with the respective domain. Enhance and mentor team core competencies in C/C++.

Primary skills are Advanced C++/C. Excellent communication skills on customer facing side. One should able to mentor team from C++/C language perspective and helps them to enhance their core competency. Excellent debugging skills to resolve the complex issues. Expert in one of the debugging tool. Good understanding of build process. Knowledge on boot sector coding will be added advantage. Having knowledge on building third party libraries will be added advantage. Good knowledge on communication protocols. Having patent on his name will be very good factor to count on. Good knowledge on scripts (Perl | Python) will be added advantage. Excellent logical thinking and able to resolve the issues with never say die attitude. Very strong command on one of the operating system/kernel and able to utilize that experience in the work. Able to mentor or resolve complex issue around operating system. Good exposure in any of the followings technologies: Virtualization, Cloud computing and containerization
