Intel's Foundry Automation group is seeking an experienced Factory Automation Database Engineer for the Secure Enclave program. This role involves developing automation data systems and partnering with engineers to create integrated software and database systems to improve manufacturing output and productivity for Intel's worldwide manufacturing plants. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into data and technical requirements, developing, testing, and maintaining factory automation database systems, and optimizing automation solutions. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide documentation, and support post-deployment systems. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Large Scale Database Design.
  • 4+ years of experience in Oracle, SQLServer, and PL/SQL.
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Transformations, Data Structures, Metadata, Workload Management.
  • 4+ years of experience in Object Oriented Software Design/Development.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain US Government TS Security Clearance.
Good to have:
  • Master's or PhD degree in CS, CE, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Expertise on Windows/Linux OS.
  • Expertise on Enterprise networking and firewall.

Life at Intel
Intel's Technology Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA) organization is hiring an experienced Software Engineer to develop automation data systems. As a Software Engineer in the data systems team, you will partner with other engineers to create integrated software and database systems to improve manufacturing output and productivity for all of Intel's world-wide manufacturing plants. The factory data systems control factory equipment, track products, measures product features, detect defects, handle materials, collect and analyze data, optimize factory scheduling, and enable efficient factory operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Translating business requirements into data and technical requirements.

  • Work as part of a software development team focusing on manufacturing data pipeline to create robust, reliable, and high-performance database systems that achieve customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Develop, test, and maintain factory automation database systems.

  • Work as part of a software development team focusing on manufacturing data pipeline to create robust, reliable, and high-performance database systems that achieve customer requirements.

  • Optimization and Integration: Analyze, prototype, and enhance automation solutions that improve factory performance, output, and cycle time while meeting environmental constraints.

  • Collaboration and Innovation: Partner with cross-functional teams (automation engineers, manufacturing planners, industrial engineers) to create and implement data-driven solutions using advanced technologies such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and optimization algorithms.

  • Documentation and Support: Provide input to technical documentation, create product manuals, and support post-deployment systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability. Adapt and prioritize work based on the changing business needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 4+ years relevant experience.

  • US Citizenship required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS Security Clearance and SCI access.

4+ years of experience in:

  • Large Scale Database Design, Development, Deployment and Performance Tuning.

  • Oracle, SQLServer, and PL/SQL development.

  • Data Transformations, Data Structures, Metadata, Workload Management.

  • Object Oriented Software Design and/or Development and Building Distributed Systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field and 5+ years' experience.

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes, factory automation, manufacturing execution planning, production control, and dispatching systems.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and automated testing and deployment processes.

  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines.

  • Expertise on Windows/Linux OS and Enterprise networking and firewall.

$146,520.00-$206,860.00
