Job Description

As an experienced software developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and support of turnkey software systems for image processing, biometric identification, and investigation applications. You will work individually or as part of a team, focusing on designing and developing new functionalities, customizing existing modules, and bug fixing. Your week will involve enhancing and maintaining biometric products, troubleshooting production issues, developing new client/web applications, and deploying solutions while adhering to coding standards and writing technical documentation.
Must have:
  • Design, develop, and support turnkey software systems for image processing and biometric identification.
  • Develop and enhance biometric enrollment and identification products.
  • Maintain and support existing biometric products and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Develop new client/web applications.
  • Configure, fine-tune, and deploy solutions on test/production environments.
  • Adhere to design and coding procedures and standards.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Solid foundation in programming, object-oriented principles, and design patterns.
  • Very good knowledge of C#.
  • Experience with object-oriented C# libraries, w3 SOAP services, and WPF.
  • Skilled in Javascript (ES6), CSS, HTML5, and Flex.
  • Experience with web application packing tools like npm and Webpack.
  • Experience with web application frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Proficiency with build system Maven.
  • Experience with source control systems Git and SVN.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking system Jira.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel for workshops, integration, and deployment (up to 20%).

  • SP.NET WEB API or ASP.NET Core REST API

  • SOLID principle, Design Patterns and other “best practices”

Job Details

As an experienced software developer, you will be responsible for the design, development and support of turnkey software systems based on Thales IBS’s software solutions in the fields of image processing, biometric identification and investigation applications. Working individually or as part of a larger team, you will learn the knowledge of existing products and you will be responsible for the design and development of new functionalities, the customization and modification of existing modules/applications, bug fixing.

A week in the life of a Software Development Engineer:

  • You will develop and enhance biometric enrollment and identification product;
  • You will maintain and support existing biometric enrollment and identification product and troubleshoot current production system issues;
  • You will develop new client/web applications;
  • You will configure, fine-tune deploy the solution on test/production environment (local and client site);
  • You will understand and adhere to design and coding procedures and standards;
  • You will write the technical documentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in .NET Software Development;
  • Minimum of 2+ years of Web Frontend Development (React).

Requirements:

  • Solid foundation on programming, and have certain understanding of object-oriented and design patterns;
  • Very good knowledge of C#;
  • Experience with object oriented C# libraries, w3 SOAP services, WPF;
  • Skilled in Javascript (ES6), CSS, HTML5, Flex;
  • Experience of web application packing tools, such as npm, Webpack;
  • Experience with other web application frameworks (React, Angular or Vue);
  • Knowledge of some of the scripting languages;
  • Build system: Maven;
  • Source control systems: Git, SVN;
  • Bug tracking system: Jira;
  • Customer oriented, good communication skills, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Autonomous and creative;
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure;
  • Fluent in English, in verbal and written communication;
  • Willingness to travel for workshops, integration and deployment in customer premises (time spent abroad up to 20%).
