Sandbox VR is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to contribute to shaping their digital experience, from customer-facing platforms to internal tools. The role involves working across the full technology stack, including web infrastructure, APIs, and frontend development. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack applications using React, Golang, Node.js, and various databases. The engineer will ensure the stability and performance of the website and cloud services, analyze customer journeys to deliver tailored web solutions, and integrate new technologies. Must have:
- 3+ years of web application development experience
- Solve complex technical problems collaboratively
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated

At Sandbox VR, we're redefining immersive entertainment. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our digital experience, from customer-facing platforms to internal tools that empower our store teams. In this role, you’ll work across the full technology stack, contributing to everything from web infrastructure and APIs to frontend development. Your work will directly impact the performance, scalability, and usability of our core online products.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using technologies such as React, Golang, Node.js, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to deployment, documentation, and maintenance.
- Ensure the stability and performance of our website, cloud services, and databases, even under high load.
- Analyze the customer journey to understand business needs and deliver tailored web solutions that improve the experience for both guests and in-store staff.
- Research and integrate new technologies to enhance the scalability and efficiency of our platform.
- Create clear user manuals and handoff documentation for the operations and product teams.
Who We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience developing web applications.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and improve systems collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you're a collaborative team player with a growth mindset.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative on new challenges.
- Passion for innovation and a willingness to explore and solve novel technology problems, and you're excited to help build something no one's built before.
