Outflank security tooling is a product that offers attack simulation software to its end-users. As part of a team of talented computer hackers and offensive software engineers. The product is offered as a cloud portal but also contains various stand alone/local web-components. Using a modern tech stack and development processes (e.g. gitops, continous devlivery, kubernetes, python) the full stack developer works on user interfaces and the backend which allow end-users to use our deep technical toolkit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Together with the software engineers, design and develop web interfaces and APIs for new functionality, both involved in developing frontend and backend.
• Rewrite and extend the existing functionality with modern techniques (single-page applications, React/Angular framework)
• Contribute ideas and efforts towards internal projects and working as part of a team to determine the best approach for various initiatives.
• Be part of the Outflank team and help prioritize and troubleshoot reported issues.
• Work collaboratively with other internal developers in a multi-dev environment (Git)
• Maintain, manage, and improve the OST portal (speed, user experience, security)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/web development or related
• 5+ years of professional full stack development experience
• Proficient in Python; preferably Python/Flask/FastAPI
• Expert in developing front-end applications using React, NextJS and TypeScript, with a focus on usability and performance
• Experience with automated testing and test frameworks
• Can and will write clear documentation along with the code
• Understanding of UX best practices
• Preferably experience with Scrum, Jira, CI/CD, Git
• Preferably interest in, or experience with Security / ethical hacking for better understanding of our products and core values

• You take ownership. We have a quite informal way of working ( Scrum/Kanban oriented) Thus we need you to be in charge of your work/responsibilities, and speak up if you need help
• You are proactive, communicative, and solution-oriented
• Have a high level of proficiency in business English
• Have the highest ethical standards that are required for the sensitive work we do. Some of our work requires screening by authorities.

WORKING HOURS & LOCATION

• Residing in either the EU or US. Collaborating with teams in Central European and US east coast.
• Periodic meetups 'bootcamps’ to collaborate, thus preferably residing with easy travel options to Amsterdam, NL
