Job Summary
Amanotes is seeking an experienced Game Art Director to lead the visual direction and creative strategy for its mobile game portfolio. This role involves defining the artistic vision, ensuring visual consistency, and guiding artists and cross-functional teams to deliver world-class aesthetics. The director will shape the look, feel, and marketability of games, elevating player engagement and ensuring products stand out globally.
Must Have
- Own the end-to-end UI/UX direction, setting standards for clarity, usability, and visual polish.
- Ensure efficient artists team workflows, resource planning, and clear communication.
- Provide creative direction and mentorship to designers and artists, maintaining consistency across game assets, UI, animations, and branding.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Game Designer, Technical Artist, and Developers to align artistic decisions with gameplay, usability, and production constraints.
- Review, refine, and approve all visual deliverables, ensuring they meet quality benchmarks and support player engagement goals.
- Drive continuous research into top-performing mobile games, market trends, and regional visual preferences.
- Partner with the UA and Creative teams to bring learnings from ad creatives and store tests into the in-game product experience.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in game art, UI/UX, or creative leadership, including at least 1–2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Deep understanding of mobile game art styles, usability patterns, and UI frameworks.
- Strong capability in visual direction, creative strategy, and building cohesive art systems.
- Experience reviewing and guiding work across multiple domains (UI, concept art, animation, VFX, marketing assets).
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma).
- Vision-driven creative leader with strong ownership and decision-making capability.
- Able to communicate direction clearly, justify creative choices, and align teams around a unified vision.
- Comfortable managing multiple game portfolios and balancing speed with quality.
- Highly collaborative, open-minded, and skilled at giving constructive feedback.
- Able to work cross-functionally with Product, Development, UA, and Marketing teams.
- Proactive problem-solver who anticipates challenges and drives visual innovation.
- Portfolio showcasing leadership in visual direction is required.

- Background in mobile gaming is highly preferred.
- Experience with animation or motion design is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Requirements
