Voodoo is seeking a talented Game Designer to join their newly established internal studio in Paris. The role focuses on Cup Heroes, a promising RPG/midcore game, where you'll be responsible for defining the design pipeline, implementing features, managing game balancing, and analyzing gameplay data. You'll collaborate with the team on all aspects of game development, from UI/UX to performance optimization. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in game development (3+ years as a game designer), mobile game experience, and a passion for creating engaging F2P titles. Relocation support is offered.

You will be an integral part of a newly established internal studio, a dynamic and focused team dedicated to elevating some of the most promising game concepts emerging from our innovative prototyping teams. This studio is specifically chartered to take high-potential prototypes and evolve them into successful, market-ready titles.

In this exciting role, your initial focus will be on Cup Heroes, a game that has already demonstrated significant promise and captured our attention with its compelling core mechanics and engaging gameplay. You'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to the growth and refinement of Cup Heroes, leveraging its existing traction to build a truly exceptional player experience. This is a unique chance to join a project with established momentum while still having a significant impact on its future direction within a dedicated and agile studio environment

Role

We’re seeking a talented and seasoned Game Designer who is deeply passionate about RPG/midcore games and laser-focused on creating the next big hit. With extensive experience in the industry, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering fun to millions of players. As the driving force behind the game's success, you'll ensure the game reaches the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Define a clear, cohesive design pipeline
Pitch and implement big features to the team, deconstructing them into smaller components
Own game balancing, pace, feel
Always back up your ideas with available data points
Ability to deconstruct and analyze mobile games mechanics
Get involved in all aspects of game development: UI, UX, Game Design, logic, performance, etc.
Fine-tune game balancing, pacing, and feel
Benchmark the market to stay on top of new trends
Understanding of models and tools to analyze gameplay and user behavior
Proficiency in Unity a huge plus
Familiarity with Figma or similar visual collaboration software
Able to create a playable prototype individually as well as within a team

Profile

At least 5 years of professional experience in Game Development and at least 3 years as a game designer
Experience working on mobile games and F2P
Creative and hacker mindset
Good sense of gameplay experience, and special attention to details
Communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Knowledge of casual games
Deep collaboration mindset, including excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a positive mindset towards receiving, acting on, and giving feedback
Accountability, independence, and responsibility when given ownership over your work
An eagerness to learn new ways to perform your tasks in a more efficient way, and to improve yourself day after day
