We are seeking a creative, motivated, and teamwork-oriented Game Designer to become part of a closely-knit team. As a Game Designer, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and user testing of the game's systems and architecture, collaborating with the team to craft the core gameplay experience.
 

Your role within the Kingdom
 

Responsibilities :

• Collaborating closely with a dynamic team to contribute to the creation of new midcore games and IP for King.

• Assisting in defining the game's core gameplay and key systems in partnership with the Creative Director and Lead Designer.

• Using scripting tools to help develop, iterate on, and fine-tune game mechanics and systems.

• Working in tandem with the economy designer to integrate systems and meta-game features with monetization strategies optimally.

• Striving for the highest design quality possible within technical constraints and performance benchmarks.

• Documenting and communicating the development of game features and systems, and collecting feedback from the team throughout the project lifecycle.

• Keeping abreast of the mobile gaming market, engaging in playtests, analysing mobile games, and sharing insights and trends with the team.

• Contributing to the development of game design standard processes within the project team and across the studio.

• Assisting with the creation of detailed task breakdowns to help in project scheduling.

• Supervising project progress and identifying potential risks, reporting these to your producer.

• Staying informed about the latest industry techniques, standards, and trends, including awareness of current and upcoming game titles and technology.

• Actively seeking feedback and participating in the studio’s design community to improve both your skills and those of your colleagues.

• Approaching your role with humility, openness, and a readiness to learn from teammates.
   

Requirements

• Confirmed foundation in game design principles and a passion for crafting engaging game experiences.

• Self-motivated with the ability to handle one's tasks and time efficiently.

• Familiarity with crafting core gameplay systems, including controls, cameras, and character mechanics, etc.

• Consistent track record in designing games on mobile, PC, or console platforms.

• Understanding of designing for touch screen interfaces.

• Clear and concise writing and documentation skills, with the ability to visualize concepts effectively.

• A dedication to designing games that are accessible and inclusive for a diverse audience.

• Open to learning and applying Design Thinking methodologies in the game development process.

• Knowledge of free-to-play game economies and meta-game design principles.

• Curiosity about or experience with visual scripting and/or programming/scripting languages is an advantage.

• Passion for excellence in all things and obsession with delivering the best player experience.
