Job Description

The General Sales Manager Iberica will lead the commercial organization in Spain and Portugal, defining and executing sales plans for industrial, agricultural, and construction spare parts. This role involves achieving sales objectives, driving sustainable business growth, and managing P&L performance. The manager will develop long-term commercial strategies, build strong industry networks, and lead a large commercial team across 8 locations, ensuring effective execution of regional strategies and fostering a culture of performance and collaboration.
Must have:
  • Define and execute sales plans for industrial, agricultural, and construction spare parts.
  • Achieve sales objectives and sustainable business growth.
  • Develop and implement long-term commercial strategies.
  • Translate regional strategy into operational plans.
  • Manage P&L performance for the region.
  • Build and maintain strong professional networks with senior industry stakeholders.
  • Lead a commercial team (76 indirect, 10 direct reports).
  • Monitor results, take corrective actions, and achieve annual business targets.
  • Contribute to annual budgets and financial commitments.
  • Interpret market and business trends into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably multinational.
  • Strong leadership skills for diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and profitability.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Analytical skills to translate data into insights.
  • Proactive and takes ownership.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Flexible to travel frequently.

Job Details

Your role and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a long-term commercial focus on external partnerships, strategic investments, and innovation (3+ years ahead).
  • Translate the regional strategy, as defined by the Regional VP, into concrete operational plans for your market or segment, and ensure their effective execution.
  • Take full ownership of the P&L performance within your region and provide clear direction to your team to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a strong professional network with senior stakeholders within the industry.
  • Represent the organization at business sector events, enhance corporate reputation, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Design and implement structured relationship management plans for high-value potential customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to support business development and effective issue resolution.
  • Lead a commercial team of internal and external sales advisors, a business development and key account team, with a total of 76 indirect reports and 10 direct reports, servicing 8 locations with 3 warehouses.
  • Monitor results, take corrective actions where required, and drive the achievement of annual business targets.
  • Promote a culture of performance, collaboration, and professional excellence.
  • Contribute to the development of annual budgets and ensure effective delivery of financial commitments.
  • Lead the design and execution of complex reporting strategies.
  • Interpret market and business trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Identify development needs within the team and implement both formal and informal initiatives to strengthen professional capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge-sharing across the organization to foster continuous improvement.

  • A knowledge of Salesforce is a strong asset.
  • Ideally you are located in or near Madrid.
  • Flexible to travel frequently.
  • You are fluent in Spanish and English. Knowledge of Portuguese is beneficial.
