The HR Compliance Manager ensures human resource programs support organizational goals. This role oversees administrative functions related to HR management, employee development, and customer service. Responsibilities include developing and conducting HR training, ensuring compliance with labor laws and employment regulations across operating regions, and providing employee assistance on HR policies and procedures.
Must have:

  • Lead SOP development and implementation for HR compliance.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs.
  • Manage Employer of Record compliance for global operations.
  • Gather compliance requirements for new locations.
  • Ensure adherence to ESG regulations within HR.
  • Integrate ESG practices into HR policies.
  • Track and report ESG metrics and compliance status.
  • Administer Corporate Sustainability tool (Ecovadis).
  • Serve as contact for employee HR inquiries.
  • Serve as contact for Deal Desk sales requests (RFPs).
  • Analyze HR data for trends and risks.
  • Prepare and present HR operations and compliance reports.
  • Identify and mitigate HR compliance risks.
  • Foster continuous improvement in HR.

Job Summary:

The HR Compliance Manager ensures that human resource programs support the long-term goals of the organization. This position performs professional work of considerable difficulty overseeing a range of administrative functions related to human resource management, employee development and customer service. This position may also develop and conduct regular HR training for employees and supervisors.

This position ensures compliance with applicable labor laws and employment regulations in the organization's operating regions.It also provides information and assistance to employees regarding human resources activities, processes, policies, and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and update HR policies, templates and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and industry best practices
  • Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations across jurisdictions, and recommend necessary updates to policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure policies and templates are legally sound and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to HR compliance processes.
  • Regularly review and update SOPs to reflect changes in regulations and business needs.
  • Develop training programs on compliance-related topics for HR teams and managers.
  • Provide guidance and education on legal requirements, promoting awareness and understanding within the organization.
  • Manage Employer of Record compliance for global operations, advising when it is necessary to establish local entities based on headcount and key compliance metrics.
  • Gather compliance requirements when expanding into new locations, ensuring the availability of the necessary resources and tools to meet local regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to ESG-related regulations and corporate sustainability goals, particularly within the HR function.
  • Collaborate with ESG teams to integrate ESG practices into HR policies and programs.
  • Track and report on ESG-related metrics and compliance status, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Administrator of Corporate Sustainability tool (Ecovadis) to ensure proper tracking of company policies and practices to drive improvement to scores.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Serve as the point of contact with Deal Desk for sales requests for policies and practices for RFPs
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of risk.
  • Prepare and present reports on HR operations, compliance, and project outcomes to senior management.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk within HR operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure proactive compliance measures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the HR department.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in HR operations and generalist functions, with a focus on policy writing, compliance, and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing SOPs
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR technology tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in the U.S. HR environment will be given priority
