An exciting opportunity for a Construction Services Project Manager to join Rolls-Royce, supporting infrastructure projects across the UK. This role involves leading a range of infrastructure projects for Rolls-Royce Group Property, varying in scale and complexity. Projects will span workplace, office, engineering, manufacturing, and operations environments, from small to medium construction, facility refurbishments, capital maintenance, demolition, manufacturing capability investment, to new facility construction.
Must have:
  • Responsible for safe delivery of construction projects within the key parameters of cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Ensure relevant RR processes and standards are deployed consistently and optimised for infrastructure programmes.
  • Play a key role in supporting reviews of construction services and delivery approach to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work alongside a team of Rolls-Royce employees and supply chain partners, taking accountability for their inputs and performance.
  • Work in close alignment and collaboration with a wide range of RR central support functions and operating units.

Group Property Project Manager

Bristol, UK

Bristol/Hybrid – minimum 3 days on site per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Services Project Manager to join our team, supporting Rolls-Royce infrastructure projects across the UK. This role provides a great opportunity to influence and shape the way infrastructure projects are delivered across RR business.

In this role you will lead a range of infrastructure projects on behalf of Rolls-Royce Group Property. These projects will be delivered to support the Rolls-Royce operational business units and will vary in scale and complexity. Projects will span Workplace / Office environments through to complex Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations environments. Project scale and type will range from small to medium construction to Major Projects / Programmes, and may encompass facility refurbishments, capital maintenance projects, demolition, manufacturing capability investment / transformation projects to new facility construction.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be responsible for safe delivery of construction projects within the key parameters of cost, schedule, and quality.

  • You will play a key role in supporting reviews of all aspects of the construction services and delivery approach to drive continuous improvement of our approaches.
  • You will work alongside a team of Rolls-Royce employees and supply chain partners taking accountability for quality of their inputs and performance.
  • You will work in close alignment and collaboration with a wide range of RR central support functions as well as operating units.

For this role you will need to demonstrate understanding of the appliable health and safety standards and we are looking for someone who is/has:

  • Recent senior level and relevant experience in delivering multi-layered construction and/or infrastructure programmes/projects in regulated industry.
  • Relevant experience in supporting and managing multi-layered project teams comprising supply chain partners as well as in-house resources originating from a corporate matrix organisation and confirmed ability to scrutinise provisions of professional services and construction contracts.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of key Procurement Methods used in Construction industry’ supported by Experience of working with NEC suite of contracts (3 or 4), in particular NEC ECC and PSA. Working knowledge of other types of Contracts will be welcomed,
  • Exhibit robust knowledge of statutory, regulatory and Construction Industry requirements of duty holders with emphasis on Client’s obligations throughout the construction process in general.
