Veoneer is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to join their team in Bengaluru, India. The role involves developing and preparing hardware work products from concept to SOP, including architecture and detail design, functional testing, and hardware integration test execution. Responsibilities also include hardware development activities, preparing hardware deliverables, designing and developing internal fault test boards, performing ECU level functional testing, FMEA verification, and DFMEA design. The engineer will participate in reviews and technical discussions, manage project estimates and task progression, and contribute to process improvements. The company has delivered over 1.1 billion electronic control units and crash sensors globally and is owned by AIP, with headquarters in the U.S. and approximately 2,550 employees in 11 countries.
Must have:
- Hardware Design Experience with Altium Designer (Schematics, BOM, Release)
- Circuit Simulation skills (OrCAD PSPICE)
- Circuit level calculation skills (MATHCAD)
- Hands-on experience with Testing & Measurement tools (Oscilloscope, DMM)
- HW Level Verification & Testing (ECU, Fault Injection, Integration)
- HW Functional Safety (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA)
- Experience with SW tools (Code Beamer, PLM, EA)
- HW process compliance with ISO26262 – Part 5
- Knowledge of Analog & Digital Circuits
- Knowledge of CAN & SPI Protocols

What you'll do?
- Develop and Prepare HW work products for each project Phase from Concept to SOP Phase.
- Architecture and Detail Design in EA
- perform Functional testing with specified methods and processes
- Perform HW Integration Test Execution for the Test Plan.
- HW Development activities
- Prepare HW deliverables
- Design and Develop Internal Fault Test Board.
- Perform ECU level Functional testing.
- FMEA verification and DFMEA Design
- Involve in Review
- Involve in technical discussions with team and counter parts
- Establish and adhere to estimates in project work plan for assigned tasks
- Provide regular updates of assigned task progression to Test lead for project planning, tracking and oversight
- Identify or propose product process or infrastructure improvements
- Contribute Current status, relevant data and constructive opinion at team/section meetings; Exemplify consensus building and team-focused behavior

- Code Beamer for Req Management
- Product lifecycle Management tool
- Enterprise Architecture for HW Architecture
- IQRM for DFMEA
- ITEMTOOL KIT for Failure rate calculation
- Mathcad for POD & HSIS documentation
- OrCAD PSpice Simulation
- Good enough experience with HW process compliance with ISO26262 – Part 5 HW Development.
- Good enough knowledge on

Preferred Qualification: BE / BTech / ME / MTech
