Job Description

As Head of Digital APAC, you will lead a cross-functional team to deliver digital technologies across Transfer Agency, Superannuation, and Wealth industries. This role involves managing client and stakeholder relationships, overseeing timely delivery, reporting, budget controls, and ensuring compliance. You will act as a primary digital ambassador, define and drive digital strategy, champion transformation, identify growth opportunities, and build a high-performing digital team across APAC.
Must have:

  • Oversee timely delivery and accurate reporting, including RAID logs and budget controls.
  • Ensure compliance with internal frameworks and governance standards.
  • Act as the primary digital ambassador for APAC clients, translating business needs into digital solutions.
  • Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and strategic planning to shape digital roadmaps.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior executive client stakeholders.
  • Define and drive the digital strategy for APAC, aligned with global priorities and local market trends.
  • Stay ahead of MarTech, CDP, AI, automation, and CX innovations, integrating them into client solutions.
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for disruption and growth.
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management to identify growth opportunities, shape proposals, and support pitches.
  • Contribute to revenue generation through strategic digital engagements and upselling opportunities.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing digital team across APAC.
  • Collaborate with global digital leaders to share best practices and scale capabilities.

Please note that this role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

What You Will Get To Do:

As the Head of Digital APAC, you will empower and drive a cross-functional team—including delivery managers, product owners, business analysts, developers, and QA—using best-practice methodologies to ensure delivery encompasses strategy, innovation, client engagement, and digital leadership.

In this role, you will also be responsible for managing and nurturing client and key stakeholder relationships. You will oversee timely delivery and accurate reporting, including updates, RAID logs, budget controls, and resource requirements while ensuring compliance with internal frameworks and governance standards.

Client-Facing Leadership

  • Act as the primary digital ambassador for APAC clients, translating business needs into digital solutions.
  • Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and strategic planning to shape digital roadmaps.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior executive client stakeholders, positioning SS&C as a digital thought leader.

Digital Strategy & Innovation

  • Define and drive the digital strategy for APAC, aligned with global priorities and local market trends.
  • Stay ahead of MarTech, CDP, AI, automation, and CX innovations, integrating them into client solutions from ideation to client implementation.
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities for disruption and growth and take them through the product execution lifecycle.
  • Work in a multi-client environment to provide core solutions with some flexibility for customer differentiation.

Commercial & Growth Focus

  • Partner with Sales and Account Management to identify growth opportunities, shape proposals, and support pitches.
  • Contribute to revenue generation through strategic digital engagements and upselling opportunities.

Team & Capability Leadership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing digital team across APAC, fostering innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with global digital leaders to share best practices and scale capabilities.

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years in digital strategy, transformation, or consulting, ideally in APAC markets.
  • Strong experience across the financial services sector ranging from wealth management, superannuation and managed funds verticals.
  • Experience in Asian markets will be looked upon favourably.
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles, with strong commercial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of MarTech ecosystems, digital platforms, and customer experience design.
  • A solid foundation of client experience led solutions encompassing user experience design principles.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management across enterprise and agency environments.
  • Strong change management skills, driving transformation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Expertise in financial controls, budget management, risk, and issue resolution.
  • Calm and assertive under pressure, ensuring effective decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management, influencing at senior levels.
  • Experience in financial services change environments, wealth management and Transfer Agency operations (desirable).
  • Exposure to Agile delivery, but with a strategic lens.
