Job Description
As Head of Engineering at Wellspring, you'll define and execute the technology strategy, building an AI-driven platform. Key responsibilities include leading platform development (Voice Companion, Risk Assessment Engine, Health Record Hub), developing engagement features, applying AI/ML for risk assessment and personalized solutions, collaborating with experts, building and leading a high-performing engineering team, and ensuring compliance (HIPAA, GDPR). You'll provide strategic technical leadership, prioritize user-focused solutions, and deliver a secure, scalable platform. This role requires hands-on contribution in early stages and collaboration with investors and stakeholders to expand market presence.

About the Role: Head of Engineering
As our Head of Engineering, you will define and execute Wellspring’s technology strategy, building an AI-driven platform that transforms caregiving and financial planning. You will play a pivotal role in designing scalable systems, implementing voice-enabled AI, and ensuring seamless integration with healthcare and financial platforms. With the freedom to define the tech stack and build your dream team, this role offers a unique opportunity to innovate and lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Platform Development: Build Wellspring’s AI-powered Voice Companion, Risk Assessment Engine, and Centralized Health Record Hub, integrating modular insurance and financial planning tools
- Develop Engagement Features: Create event-driven systems for proactive user engagement through notifications and triggers for insurance activation or data updates
- Apply AI/ML: Use advanced models to assess health risks, predict coverage needs, and deliver tailored modular insurance solutions
- Collaborate with Experts: Partner with actuarial and insurance specialists to enhance risk predictions and product offerings
- Build & Lead the Team: Recruit and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and data scientists while fostering an innovative culture
- Ensure Compliance: Implement secure, privacy-first systems that meet HIPAA, GDPR, and financial data regulations
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide strategic technical leadership while contributing hands-on in the early stages
- Prioritize user-focused, empathetic solutions tailored to caregiver’s needs
- Deliver a secure, scalable platform that meets healthcare and financial compliance requirements
