Head of Financial Operations

Job Description

Miniclip is looking for a Head of Financial Operations to lead our shared services finance team in our Lisbon (PT) Office, which provides services to the various Miniclip Studios. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. Please apply only if you have the right to work in Portugal.

The ideal candidate will be someone with experience in senior leadership role a multinational share service centre and is able to build and develop processes to scale a growing financial operations function.

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

Day-to-day

• Own, grow and develop the Share Service Centre for Financial Operations within Miniclip
• Manage and supervise a team of 9 individuals (2 direct reports) including planning/executing/improving regular monthly processes and setting priorities as appropriate
• Take ownership of AP/AR and banking transactional processes
• Develop and establish a strong control environment, including supplier creation, payment runs and cost approval processes with Miniclip Studios
• Responsible for working with finance systems team to implement improvements and increase automation of finance systems, including Microsoft Dynamics
• Design and own Cost Centre management process from a systems standpoint, including owning and controlling workflow approvals
• Work with Head of Tax & Treasury on payment run processes, supporting on management of corporate credit cards and act as back up administrator to banking set up
• Assist AP/AR Manager with the processing of invoices and claim expenses and production and analysis of debtor and creditor reporting
• Working with external advisors and the Tax team to ensure compliance with documentation requirements for VAT and employee expenses purposes
• Assisting the Head of Financial Reporting in fulfilling year end audit requests and working with financial accountants to ensure accurate posting of AP/AR/cash postings
• Sets goals and objectives for team members to drive their development and performance
• Fosters team spirit and commitment to shared vision and goals

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience managing and supervising a Finance Operations team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Global knowledge in Finance processes in a Shared Services Centre environment
• Excellent teamwork, strong communication, and collaborative mindset skills, comfortable in dealing with all levels of the organization
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Results and quality oriented
• High degree of attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks
• Fluent in English, written and spoken (mandatory)
• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
• Solid MS Office knowledge (word, excel and outlook)
• Advance excel, Power Query and Power BI are valued
