The Role

The Push Gaming platform is responsible for distributing our games and gaming products to a global audience and manages millions of transactions per day. It is a multi-cloud collection of different systems utilising common open-source technology stacks and both microservice and event-driven architectures. These systems cover a number of different functions including games, jackpots and promotions, as well as centralised observability, business reporting, real-time data streaming and back office management.

Reporting to the Chief Architect, you will lead and manage a team of solution architects working as part of multi-functional teams and responsible for ensuring that our system and software architecture is robust, scalable, and inline with industry best practices. You will work with stakeholders from product, commercial, legal and compliance to implement technical solutions to meet the demands of the business as we scale further into new markets, jurisdictions and channels. You will take an active role in driving good architectural practices throughout our technical teams.

What experience you'll bring to the role:

• Strong experience with at least 3 years in an architectural role
• Recruiting and managing technical teams
• Creation of clear and concise architectural documentation and diagrams
• Software quality models such as ISO/IEC 25010
• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrable experience of designing and implementing complex cloud-based IT systems covering both transaction processing and data domains using microservices and event-driven patterns
• Cloud platforms and services such as AWS or GCP
• Kubernetes or similar orchestration frameworks
• Relational and NoSQL data stores
• High performance scalable transactional systems
• Information security and management in cloud-based systems
• Incorporating business continuity and disaster recovery planning into software architecture
• Working closely with development teams to advise on architectural best practice
